Seemed very polite and helpful on the first encounter, I was in touch about a quote on a fairly straightforward wall panelling job. Communication just seemed to stop about the project altogether, even after me stating how urgent the work was. I called and emailed numerous times, and had false promises of short timelines but I just heard nothing back after a while. I can’t speak on the work they do but if you want a quick turnaround this certainly isn’t the place to go.
I’ve used SL Hardwoods for around 8 years. They always find the wide and thick boards I need. No one else has ever managed! My last order again was perfect and a special thanks to Jana for helping me with my long distance shipping! Super friendly too, never a bad thing, right!!!!
The best place for hardwoods in South London. Staff were helpful and professional. They sell planed-all-round boards, but also lots of woodturning blocks and tools. I'll definitely be going back.
I ordered a length of White Beech to use for a Kids Rocking Horse and to see if it's suitable for a Dresser I'm making . Wood was high quality lovely grain no shakes warps or twists. As for customer service well I'm speechless it was fantastic Raj Patel the production manager, extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and a nice person. The lady who phoned me to say the wood was ready to collect was really polite helpful and knew what she was talking about. I will be using SL Hardwoods again I can highly recommend.
I've been in the building industry for 10 years and I have to say dealing with SL Hardwoods and Jana especially has been a breath of fresh air! Nothing a problem and extremely accommodating! My new go to company for Timber! Can't recommend enough!
Excellent friendly service from Raj and everyone else at SL Hardwoods. Had quite a lot of cutting to be done and everything was accurately cut. Prices very reasonable. One minor error rectified immediately without any issues. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
Used SL Hardwoods couple years back for furniture panels, lately purchased again some planed Iroko which was exceptional quality, delivered safely and extremely quick. Quick delivery, even though the website suggests it could take 7-10 days, my order came within 3 working days. Delivery driver help unload the large boards and take them to the garden down an awkward path. Great service, great communication before delivery.
I had been trying for some time to find 3mm Ash plywood with out success. I came across the company on the internet, and after a conversation with Sean he went out of his way to find me some. I travelled down from Birmingham this morning to collect and have it cut to size and received excellent service. Highly recommended for communication and customer service. Thanks again Sean.
Used SL Hardwoods for the first time - very helpful and friendly, from ordering on the phone Jana was really quick to come back to me to the welcoming reception I received from the young chap when I came to pick my sheet goods up. As well as loading them in to my car, he took the time to show me their workshop and cutting equipment too - very impressive. They can cut to your own cutting list to an accuracy of 0.5mm apparently - I'm yet to check it but I have no reason to doubt it. Great to find a supplier of good quality materials that seems to have a genuine passion in what they do.
