Bunnings Hawthorn

I bought many items for my new house from Bunnings Warehouse. I'm very happy with staff there (when I was lucky to catch anybody :) ). The product range is very good. Delivery fees are reasonable. In spite of Bunnings ads saying that there the cheapest store in Australia, some items are bit expensive.

I have always had excellent service here but today came across a very rude man named Gavin. I asked him if he could cut away the packaging before he put the item in my car as it would not fit. I've bought 8 of these products altogether and the staff have always been happy to oblige and extremely helpful - at Chadstone and at Hawthorn. But today he just looked at me and said 'I don't have a knife'. I said the girl the other day had one and took the packaging off without a problem. He said 'she must have been wearing an apron'. He then marched off without a word - to look for a knife it turns out but he didn't tell me that - just left me there. When he came back he just said 'I'll push it' - 'where's the car' - and not another nicety or polite conversation. I was appalled and have never been treated this way at Bunnings - or anywhere else for that matter - before.

Hawthorn store was out of an electrical item, staff told us 24 were on order come back next week, so we came back every week for 3 weeks, but their internal order was never filled! We were told to go to another Bunnings to get it or wait another week and just see?? Eventually we found a staff member who told us they can order the part in from another store with stock, however no one new how or more likely wanted to do it. We left and called up later once again they tried to convince us just to wait, but after insisting on a store to store transfer the part arrived in a couple of days. Poor customer service and a huge waste of time.

Love going in store but why the hell am I currently on hold moving past the one hour mark. I have no option but to hold do we send you a bill for my wages?
