St John of God Midland Public and Private Hospitals include a a 307-bed public hospital providing free hospital services for patients in Perth's east metropolitan and Wheatbelt regions and co-located 60-bed private hospital.

My elderly father was admitted as a private patient and his treatment was disgraceful.  He asked for blankets at night to keep warm & never received any.  He waited for breakfast it finally came & he was told he had to have a shower immediately or wouldn't get one at all.  He left a note on his tray asking for it not to be taken while he was being showered.... when he got out of the shower his breakfast tray was gone.  This would not be a problem if it were once but he was treated like this on a daily basis.  He paid top dollar through private health and was very upset with his treatment.  Complaints were made and 18 months later we are still waiting for a response from the Management.  I would not recommend this hospital even if it were the only one available worldwide!!

Absolutely fantastic staff.  Very personable and great humour from everyone from the ED Triage to the Medical Imaging staff to everyone in between and in the end.  Never felt so comfortable or involved with the communication.  You guys do the hard yards, are under the pump and are still positive.  Really love your style and how quick I was in and out.

I took my Dad here initially to the Emergency Department. Dad had been in good health and take from the previous 2 weeks when he had cough/flu. Unfortunately whilst in ED we learned my Dad had heart failure. The ED staff were fantastic, talking with my Dad and I explaining everything. Dad ended up spending about 2 weeks in hospital, where he initially started improving and we were holding on to hope but unfortunately his heart failure worsened. The staff in Ward 3 and the Rehabilitation ward were fantastic. My Dad initially went from ED to ICU to ward 3 the Rehabilitation ward as he improved but then d the heart failure worsened Dad was taken back to ICU.The ICU staff treated us like family. I can't than them enough for the professional, caring way they looked after my Dad. The ICU staff listened to my Dad and explained everything. When Dad wanted to try every treatment to beat his heart failure they respected his request and did everything they could. Unfortunately Dad's heart failure was too bad and my beautiful Dad passed away peacefully. I am eternally grateful to the ICU staff at SJOG Midland.

Waiting for so long cause I got really bad pain from my stitches wound on my right thumb and unfortunately the pain killer from my GP is not working, in the end I have to cancel my check up at this ST John of God hospital in Midland.
I bring my hubby and our 10yo daughter, when the nurse call my name she told us "only 1 person can come inside to accompany the patient, cause the bay is not big enough" then my hubby answer with firm tone to the nurse "well I can't just leave our 10yo girl sit around here by herself!!!", when I got inside I am still waiting and the nurse just asking few more question to filled up the form, while she wait for the measures temperature machine cause they run out.
How busy is the hospital they should of have the complete tools not wait until the other finished using it "for real?????". In my mind I was thinking this is ridiculous. I have to hold my pain for this long and this is not gonna worth it, while I saw some of the nurse just standing around chatting each other, ignore the other patient and they just staring at you then walk away.
Practically they didn't do the job properly. I just decided to go home after more than 1 and half hour wait, even thou I got to wait for another 1.
Is not worth it :(
If they said "oh, is gonna be 1 hours of waiting"
Trust me that 1 hours become 2 just multiply it yourself. For some people maybe not however I am not that people. So, think again!!!!

Comforting and caring and believable..I mattered in the realm of the moment. Nothing was more important than me. Along with every other person there who wanted to feel they mattered.  And received the same special treatment. Family and community spirit exists here and I've experienced this before Here.
