I remember the old days when this cinema used to be one big cinema, but nowadays it's gone the way of small boutique cinemas and they've succeeded very well. They've kept with the theme of Art Deco and providing more luxury services like a waitress, bringing food and drink through a movie. We were in cinema 3, And I must admit, I haven't seen the other cinemas yet but this was great quality and probably sits about 30 people. Well recommended. A+++
It had great sound and the chairs were quite comfy. I would prefer if the little light over the menu went off as it was a bit distracting but I can understand why they have it on. We sat in Boutique
Yeh nah what a classy place.nnI honestly don’t have the vocabulary to give the quality review that this joint deserves.nnIt’s just really really good.nnI like everything about it - the windows, the carpet, the bench tops, the urinal, everything.nnThis is the type of place Frank Sinatra and Marlyn Monroe would probably go on a first date.nnI’m just too uncultured to think of better compliments.nnYou really have to see it for yourself.nnTake your nearest and dearest to see F1 with Brad Pitt and you’ll know what I’m talking about.nnThen you’ll understand how hard it is to do this place justice, unless you’re a professional critic.
A beautiful cinema with great history in North Adelaide. Fantastic art-deco interior.nGreat programming. They are always running several programs of classic and interesting movies.nI really enjoy the restuarant & bar in the foyer area. I'm not such a fan of the gold class-style experience though.nAn icon.
Phase one of renovations complete.nStaff are welcoming and attentive, love that you get service with a smile.nThe set up, the building is unique and such a beautiful historic theatre, very aesthetically pleasing if you are into art deco and classic style. Just Beautiful nThe theater and sound system are fine, there is ample space between rows of seats, but i welcome the next phase of renovation to install better and/or more comfortable reclining seats.nThe candy bar and drinks, dining area are small but offers enough refreshments and light meals to cocktails and non alcoholic beverages.nGreat Hot coffee, the bar and food options are good and price reasonable. Food and drinks can be ordered and delivered to your seats if your movie starts. Also good to know the diner & bar is open to customers that are not viewing a movie, also runs events and available for bookings.nToilets nice and clean.nAccessibility lifts are available.nThe Wallis membership price is not yet active at the Piccadilly so was not able to use discounted member price here.
