Event Cinemas is a great place to take the kids for a movie day. The cinemas are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with plenty of space so it doesn’t feel cramped even when it’s busy. The seats are comfortable, which makes it much easier for the kids to sit through the whole movie without getting restless.nnThe staff were friendly and helpful, especially when it came to scanning tickets and helping families find their cinema. The candy bar has a huge range of snacks and drinks, which the kids loved, although it can be quite expensive, so it’s something to keep in mind.nnThe overall experience was smooth and family-friendly, and the sound and screen quality were excellent, which made the movie more enjoyable for everyone. Event Cinema is on the upper floor with a good view of shops and cafes downstairs.nSeniors club price a bonus every day.nThere's also the special Gold Club and Vmax viewing.nVisited this place last week.nGood supply of snacks and drinks available at an extra cost.nSadly toilet not clean and there was no toilet paper available. This was quite disappointing.nThere used to be a Big display with all screens and show timings which was missing too.nOn the whole a nice experience. Give it a try. Change is inevitable
pretty disappointed with my past few visits here. use to be good but they’ve slowly degraded overtime popcorn always cold and stale no matter what time of the day, nice wide selection at the candy but super pricey for what it is. i would understand that these are highly priced due to the experience you receive apart from other cinemas but it’s a joke when you go into the theatres only to be invited with the smell of feet with no working aircon and dirty floors. i will say though the chairs are comfy and there’s heaps of leg room. staff are friendly too. this place could use a bit of tweaks and we’re golden
I took my three younger sisters to see a children’s movie today, and the experience was honestly embarrassing — not because of some crime I committed, but because of the behaviour of a few adults and the way the staff handled the situation.nnWe were sitting in the seats I believed I had booked. When three grown women confronted us about “their seats,” I calmly showed them my booking. Instead of simply checking the cinema number with me like reasonable adults, they escalated it dramatically and brought back a manager as if I was trying to pull off some kind of Ocean’s Eleven seating scam at a kids’ film. Trying to act as a Karen at a childrens movie is hilarious, youre pushing 40, go watch something else.nnThe manager informed me we were in the wrong cinema — fair enough, it was a genuine mistake and I apologised immediately. I politely asked if we could sit elsewhere the cinema was mostly empty, especially since I had three children with me and didn’t want to cause disruption. Instead of helping, the manager insisted we leave completely, leaving my sisters confused and uncomfortable. He was clearly on some sort of power trip.nI expected a family-friendly environment. Instead, I got drama, condescension, and zero customer support.nnDo better.
V-max cinema with a recliner - wow, what an experience!! The seats were very comfy and the space was clean. It's a little pricey but worth the experience. Popcorn was fresh and crispy and nicely salted. Slushies were refreshing and not too frozen. Highly recommend for date night or fancy night out with the family/friends.
