Surprisingly we found out the cinema in the toppest floor of Westfield Marion, having strong feeling of movie, you can see the little Tramp, charlie chaplin right in front of the entry, such a cool cinema I ever see in Australia YayannProbably get a chance to try watching movie in Australia, the ticket price is pretty similar to hongkongnnEvent Cinema MarionnRating of mine: 4.5
Nice and clean venue. Great atmosphere for movies. Like most cinemas, food and drinks were extremely expensive. But the salted caramel popcorn was amazing! Loved the transformer display in the main foyer. My son is a HUGE fan.
Event Cinemas Marion is a solid cinema overall, but the seating could use an upgrade. The chairs are of medium quality and, unfortunately, there are no recliners, which takes away from the comfort factor during long movies.nnThat said, the cinema is clean, the sound and visuals are great, and the location is convenient with plenty of parking. If you’re not fussed about luxury seating, it’s still a decent place to catch a movie. A good experience, but room for improvement!
Movie was listed as 1hr 44m, starting at 1:00 p.m. Allowing for 20 minutes of ads before the movie actually started, I figured I had enough time to get to work 10 minutes away by 3:20pm. However, I had to leave before the movie finished due to their being 30 minutes of ads at the beginning. I don't know how much of the movie was left or how it ended. Very disappointed. I sent this feedback on the day of the screening, in response to the Event cinema's automated survey email. I've also sent it twice to their customer feedback centre; you can't actually call and talk to a human. I've had no response from anyone. If you can't be bothered responding to feedback surveys, don't send them!
The whole complex looks very tired and neglected-tired decorations and dated decor.nThe film screening was good and the seats are comfortable, but it all looks a bit sad in the foyer areas. I remember how magnificent it was when the complex first opened, but it feels like there hasn't been much spent on the place for decades.
