I really enjoy visiting Event Cinemas — the theatres are clean, the seats are comfortable, and the sound and picture quality are always excellent. The staff are generally friendly and helpful, and I appreciate the variety of movies and session times on offer.nnHowever, one thing that could be improved is the length of time spent waiting before the movie actually starts. The amount of advertising and trailers can feel excessive, making the wait too long and a bit frustrating at times. It would be great if this could be reduced, so that the movie starts closer to the advertised session time.nnOverall though, I do love the cinema experience at Event Cinemas and look forward to visiting again.

Visited recently to see a movie. Hadn't been for a long time, and was looking forward to it. However, on entering we were accosted by a man who was overbearing and asked what we were doing. We were on our way to use the toilet before purchasing tickets. When I replied stating we were going to the toilet he said NO! Then I said we were seeing a movie. He then backed off. He was aggressive and rude. We, therefore, chose not to see the movie there, and went elsewhere. We won't be back either. The place looks dilapidated as well, and with him, sitting there in a booth, ready to intimidate customers, who would want to visit! Very unpleasant!

Really disappointed with our experience at Event Cinemas Glenelg. From the moment we arrived, there was a strong, pungent smell that followed us into the theatre. It was so bad we spent the entire movie holding our noses, smelling our own clothes, and trying to hold our breath just to get through it. The only thing consistent from the foyer to the theatre is the carpet, perhaps it’s well overdue for a deep clean?nnThe bathrooms were no better, the smell to the filthy basins. They too look like they haven’t been cleaned in a very long time.nFor the price of tickets, basic hygiene and cleanliness should be a priority. This really ruined the whole movie experience.

First time to watch a movie at Events Cinema. This one at Glenelg has 4 hours free parking when you watch a movie, how good is that! The venue has a decent size lounge area but their bathrooms are a bit small. I watched at cinema 3, the place is clean but I found the seats uncomforable not reclining and a bit worn out particularly the popular good spots. The cinema audio was also mediocre. So overall, it was an OK experience.
