Super helpful. Great value for money and not as ‘grabby for cash’ as other local vets are. Caring staff and they do a lot of charity animal welfare work too, so you are supporting a good cause by taking your pets there. Our dogs Molly and Waggy are always well looked after.
I recently made the decision to transfer my cat to another treating vet. As a long term customer of Pet's Haven Bayswater of many, many years I grew tired of the substandard service provided by the new management. The place is now not what it once was when it first opened, someone mentioned in their review hygiene concerns, I also have had them for some time for example, there is always hair on the table in the consult rooms and one time I saw fresh blood on the table, it is as if the place is never wiped down in between consults. There is a revolving door of nurses and front desk staff who rarely know what they are doing in terms of ordering and giving the customer the correct pet medications, communication is poor between staff, there is rarely customer follow up calls, account overcharging, the list goes on. I grew tired of having to chase up my cat's insulin to the point of needing to go elsewhere which I have. Supplies are also low in this place, and I mean basic supplies and the ongoing issues with the phone, I grew tired of not being able to get through to the place and transferred to a mobile message bank with no return phone call. The final straw was the poor management and monitoring of my cat's diabetes, at no point was it pointed out to me he has cataracts which often go 'hand in hand' with diabetes, I feel this should have been pointed out to me by the vet but it wasn't and now he is needing to see a specialist eye Vet. All in all the place is a mess, not how I recall Pet's Haven Bayswater when I first became a customer many, many years ago. I was once told by Greta if there is anything I am not happy with to put all these concerns in a letter, well, I could not be bothered because after verbally voicing them I do not believe they would be taken seriously and actioned by management, writing a letter would not have made any difference. I am sad to see myself go from the place but for the safety of my cat's health I was left with no other option but to source a new treating vet clinic. Would I recommend this vet clinic to the public, no, not under the current management, past management yes but not in the current state Pet's Haven is being run. The place should be shut down and if there is a response to my post along the lines of 'We have no record of you being a customer at our clinic' not true, I have been a customer for many, many years. If you want to keep operating lift your game management otherwise you will be out of business very, very soon.
Pets Haven is a great Veterinary clinic and a Shelter located in Bayswater North. It has really professional and well experienced Vets and really friendly, well qualified staff. This is a perfect place to take your loving pet for any treatment and they will take care of them really well. I can highly recommend this clinic.
Could not be more disappointed. I adopted my Boxer x puppy from there. We loved him right away and upto until they took our money staff were lovely. Staff did not advice us that dog was not allowed to attend isolated and separated from other dogs day care and described puppy as fully vaccinated. They mentioned no walks and off the leash parks but were aware of puppy attending day care. I got the puppy with a terrible cough and diarrhea and he was COVERED in poo when we went to pick him up. I called them and drove down 1.5 hours to go back there to check him out. They gave me medication for 5 days. They blamed it on us and took no responsibility of giving us a sick puppy. Puppy would not get much better and I called again, they said they'd come get him, check him out and then drop him off. No one showed up. When I called, no-one returned my call. I told them to not worry about it as I had 0 trust in them. I am still fighting to keep my puppy alive with constant vet visits and lots of love. Dodgy, liars, guilt trippers, threatening and money thirsty. Rude vets and accusing staff that we don't look after our pets. Extremely disappointed. Praying my dog will make it. Reply: As you make sure we cannot reply to your responses, please take rthis edited version of my comment as your response. How dare you tell me I neglected my puppy when you gave him to us covered in feces? You desex puppies at 10 weeks and no other vets other than your approve of this. You barely test them when you give them out as per the contract, no blood tests no nothing, but then say they have been pathologically tesged! and then you DARE to talk to me about neglect? Have a good look at the articles that are all over the internet about YOUR neglect with all animals and read on, on other comments/reviews here of how many times you gave away pups who died and never check other animals or contagious diseases. You should be ashamed.
10/10 Dr Alistair was wonderful, very caring and thorough. Pets Haven came to the rescue with my cat, who decided to get into a fight and injure his leg. I am so very grateful
Everyone here was so helpful. We adopted Jade now Daisy and we had some trouble getting out schedules sorted out but they were so patient and flexible with us. The adoption starter pack was also fantastic and helped us not feel overwhelmed by everything you have to buy when you add your first dog into a home. She is very happy and I'm so glad that gave a companion for my days.
we adopted 6yr old Ziggy domestic long hair male cat nov18 unexpectedly. walked into PH to drop off blankets. fell in love with Ziggy. couldn't leave him behind. we have 10yr old westipoo stella since 8 weeks old. stella was unusually calm when we were patting ziggy. Trisha and PH team do such an incredible job pulling abused neglected and abandoned animals from pounds, streets etc...Ziggy was found in a pound, which breaks our heart and his history wasn't too clear. they are treated, loved and re homed with careful consideration. we cannot imagine life without Ziggy. we wont deny that is wasn't challenging in the beginning..it took time, patience and lots and lots of love to adjust and settle into each other. stella was an only child for 10 yrs and then Ziggy came along. Ziggy used to get very upset that stella would come to work with us and we would leave him home by himself. so we started taking Ziggy to work too and now we go everywhere together. he is so happy. we used to call PH daily to ask for advice and they were amazing to work with. they shared knowledge and experience which made our adoption easy. we could have taken Ziggy back so many times at the beginning but as everyone who has rescues told us - it gets easier. just give it time. Ziggy actually thinks he is a dog in a cats body. he is the best thing thats happened to us after stella and we want to adopt more. Ziggy has the best personality and its as if he was ours from birth. we have learnt so much about love patience and cats from ziggy. they are so misunderstood. PH was founded to save animals and make the world a better place. They certainly have made our home a better place and we couldn't recommend them more and thank god every day we went to PH that day and ziggy choose us. our adoption made room for another fur baby to be saved. thank you Trisha and PH team for everything you do for animals. we love ziggy with all our heart and eternally grateful you found and saved him for us. keep up the awesome work! x
