Great DoC campsite right on the edge of the Whanganui River. A nice distance off the road for a peaceful sleep.Toilets are a bit smelly and not cleaned as well as other DoC campsite we have used. No potable water here. Plenty of room to find a good place.
One of my new favourite DOC sites on the Forgotten Highway SH43. Toilets need some cleaning and there is no pay cards to make payment. No phone signal.
Awesome spot great swimming hole for little kids to adults, plenty of sheltered camp sites,toilets and water for cleaning dishes etc,great spot for electronics free camping since there is no cell service,yet only 10-15min from town
On the banks of the Wanganui River. Quite a large DoC camp with several 'areas'. Clean toilets. Nice place.

What a fabulous find. Great swimming location for good swimmers and place to relax. We loved our nights stay and will definitely be back.
Lovely site beside the river. Unfortanely no water on the site due to lack of rain. A bit of general maintenance required.
Good for people with self contained campers and tents toilets there. Good boat ramp there to for big boats and kayaks
Amazing place to camp dog friendly must be on leash great swimming, large area plenty of space and toilets
Clean and tidy, with good facilities and easy access to a decent swimming hole. I didnt stay the night, just long enough for a swim and to do dry the washing, but the usual reasonable charges apply.
