This was a great walk well worth doing. Starts with a crossing then into a thick forest before opening out onto a boardwalk across the marshes before going back into the forest. Down to the falls. Was a pretty challenging walk with lots of stairs but well worth doing. The falls were pretty but would recommend a bit of rock hopping to get a better look (be safe though its pretty slippery in places)

Great short walk ~1.5h return. Easy enough to go with kids.

Nice walk, but the waterfall was a bit disappointing

Love this walk! Great views to Ruapehu on a clear day and the falls are stunning if you spend some time clambering around the rocks. Great pics to be had!

Have walked this track many times. It can be negotiated with a push chair but allow for numerous steps down to the falls. Great for family walk with magnificent views of Ruapehu over the open tairns. DOC have maintained this track well and with the good car park it has easy access up the Mountain road. In spring orange mistletoe can be seen in the protective cages on the lower track trees. Visiting Ohakune? This is a must!
