Loved it! Campground, playground, animals, bikes, snacks, meals, ice blocks, hot showers, well equipped kitchen, relaxing lounge with toys, maze and more...! All fabulous! Staff were all so friendly, welcoming, helpful and accommodating. I was here with my two young children and felt very safe. We stayed longer than we planned to because we were being looked after so well and were enjoying ourselves so much! I highly recommend a visit or stay. Thanks so much Flat Hills team, look forward to staying again soon!

Nice large space having an awesome cafe and eatery. A very famous pit stop for the buses on the Wellington route.The facilities are clean and tidy. Open farm style area is a good relaxing one. As the driver of the bus once said - 'flat hills cafe, somewhere in the middle of no where', it does give that feeling sometimes. A welcome relaxing stop always. Accommodation is also available for a might's break. Surrounds are picturesque too. Well recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay here. Highly recommend this cafe and accommodation to anyone but especially families with young children.
We booked a pod to stay in. The staff where super helpful from online inquiries and booking to asking if there was anything else we needed. Towels and linen/blankets are provided, soap/bodywash is available in the bathrooms/showers. There is a great kitchenette with stove-top elements, microwave and kettle for cooking your own meals. Pots/plates/cutlery are provided.  The cafe also provide lovely meals for adults and kids. The kids dinner came in a box (hotdogs and chips) so I'm glad we asked for a spare plate to put it on. There is so much for the kids to do during the day here (we stayed on-site all day and easily filled in the time) from a bouncy castle to the maze to 3 different play areas with puzzles/books/trikes/baby toys/giant snakes and ladders (that was a favourite). Plenty of animals to watch and feed also.
Next time we're driving past we will certainly stop here for some food and a play (it'll be a struggle to get the kids back in the car they had so much fun).

Stopped here en route to Hamilton. Looks like a place to come back to as a destination. Great service in the café. Restrooms were clean. Perhaps post something more substantial next time.
