"Bartletts Ford is a 0.6250ha reserve with the river running alongside. It is popular for casual summer recreation with river access, swimming and freedom camping. Dogs are permitted unleashed but under control on the reserve. A lovely scenic spot to stop, relax and enjoy yourself.This is very basic camp site where you will need to bring everything with you. There is no running water and the public toilet is open from 1 November through to 31 March though it may be longer depending on weather.No fees are charged to use this Camping Ground. Located on Terrace Road, just before the bridge."

Went here at the end of January, it was hot so very pleased the river was close, its a great spot, the current is variable and you will find swim shoes of benefit when crossing the rocks. Good assortment of fire pits, even some pine tree firewood in one corner if you were brave enough to tackle the pile. We camped in one corner and there was stil a heap of room for everyone else, lots of groups came out just for the day with a bbq and a swim, so great vibes to the place. For me the highlight was the dark skies, it was so clear you could see the fuzzy nebulosity of the Nebula in Orions sword, so a great venue for astrophotography and stargazing in general, and that will bring me back every time. Just be aware the Toilet is closed from 1 March to 31 October, the website has a different date on it
Looked like a nice place but were there just after cyclone Grace very wet to soft to drive on needs clean up and a homes guy there needs looking into
Great place to camp! We are all self contained and great spot. A few young partyers left a huge mess which we cleaned up was dippappointing from them.
Awesome place for camp. River is very close by for swim. Love this place.
If you are looking for terrific place to go free camping, in a sheltered river valley, you can't beat Bartletts Ford. A modern vault toilet has recently been installed. Best of all it's free.
We had a great time the past few days. Kids and dog.
Loved it, the kids swum in the river all day everyday, big open area to accommodate heaps of campers and with toilets facilities. Big Thank You to the land owners.
Big open area with some shaded sites, the river is just a hop, skip n a jump away perfect for the whole family. Basic toilet on site.
If you’re after a large green field, miles from anywhere, then here it is! We were disappointed. We didn’t stay. It was peaceful. But no “view of the river” from the vehicle, so you’re driving off the beaten track to park in a big green field. We won’t be back
Fantastic place. Beautiful setting grand time had by all 30 of us. Great swimming too. Toilet gets cleaned daily. It is a long drop by the way. Supplied with toilet paper
