The campground has toilets and a fountain for washing hands. The water needs to be boiled. There is a picknick table and the views are fantastic. The use of the campground is free.
Slightly unclear as to if this is actually a campground or not.. the sign says 'public parking and shearing only'. There are no public information boards or camp fee boxes so it's assumed if camping is OK that it is free. We couldn't initially work out where the toilet's were, but once found they were clean & tidy enough. No hot water or shower. There was a covered area you could use to sit or cook if you brought your own cooking equipment if you were needing to get out of rain or wind. A non functioning old kitchen room was attached that you could use the benches it will have at one point been a working kitchen but there is no power or water on. Theres lots of barns and buildings with pens for stock animals. There is wool remnants everywhere so not advisable to mingle in those areas. Quiet, flat and very handy to regional park walks. Alice Nash memorial and the Glow worm cave and river are the two we went for. Felt slightly uncomfortable with regards to personal safety, but in reality the locals I'm sure are wonderful. As long as you respect the place I hope this camping area is going to be available for the future.
Nice big grass area to park, with toilets.
There is a toilet and water, but not drinking water. It looks like it is only cleaned up for fairs and shearing competition etc. The grass was long. I was the only person there camping. February 2019
Great stop over. Spotlessly clean toilets. They take great pride in this spot. Quiet
Toilets no hot water plenty of room
Never went there. Just drove past.
Beautiful quiet peaceful place to stay
