Our stay at the Ohakune Top 10 Holiday park was absolutely wonderful. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the cabin we stayed in was very clean and provided us with everything we needed. We loved that the camp was very family friendly and catered to our needs perfectly with having two young kids. We loved that the shops were so close and you could take a neat native bush walk to get there while following the beautiful stream. Such a relaxing stay and you definitely exceeded our expectations, we will certainly be back and have already been recommending your stay to all our friends and family, very big Thank you.

I stayed over New Years along with my siblings. My sister booked the cabin for us online, however all of our names were added to the booking as required by the online form. I suggest checking your records. We were staying in cabin 14. We had no issue with the grounds or facilities. We had a fine time. However, as per the previous two reviews, we were made quite uncomfortable after a neighbouring cabin was locked out of the cabin, and one of our group went and lent him their phone to call the number provided on the door of reception for after hour problems (being locked out seems a pretty valid problem). The woman who was called was very angry and yelled at the customer both on the phone for waking her up and when she arrived to unlock the door. Regardless of what her issue was it definitely came across as unprofessional to us. The next day she accosted my bother asking us to sign a document stating that the customers had lied and she had not abused them. He advised he had not heard what had transpired and would not state anything untrue. We woke up to a note and a statement with a line for us to sign, basically stated she had not yelled at the neighbour etc. we chose to ignore this and checked out as planned, dropping the key off before having our cars stopped at the exit so she could come out once again and ask about us signing the statement. The whole ordeal took what was a pleasant stay into an uncomfortable situation that was not really our problem.

Lovely spot and good location to reach the crossing and other outings. Playground was great for kids, and nice setting with stream and woods behind to play in. V helpful & friendly staff. Family bathroom set up perfect (heaters, baby bath etc).

Quite frankly this place couldn’t be better. The location in the town of Ohakune is perfect, near to amenities and backing onto a lovely piece of natural forest. It is an easy drive to Tongariro National Park and all it has to offer. If you don’t know what that is take my advice and find out. I am well travelled and this place is a gem. Get outside and explore. The walking, cycling and general gawping at scenery is right up there. We booked one night and stayed five! Finally Maria, Deb, Karen and Kaung are lovely and brilliant hosts.

An excellent place to brake your trip. Stop here and admire the mountain, right from your tent door or room. Feel the vibes as you leave the clean rest rooms and breath in mountain air waving a hello to the many overseas stayers as you pass by to your chalet. Nice tidy facilities.
