I can't fault this hospital for their care of children. They are prompt precise and really caring. My daughter's have been admitted several times and we choose this hospital out west because being seen is so quick and they offer parking discounts for long stays. That cannot be said for Nepean. The nurses were friendly and sweet to my scared little one and gave as much information as possible to the parents.

I have taken my kids here many times and always found the hospital good. However this time it was my turn. Again it was smooth. Till I came across an Indian doctor, who was carrying doc/ god attitude. He didn't introduce and started asking silly questions. I am suffering from acute diarohea and he was.. why this happened, why are you not drinking water.,why you didn't gave stool sample. How the hell I know?. Noone asked for my stool. Iwish I was in my strength I would have shown him how the doctor should behave.i am originally from India and there the doctor wanted to be treated as god. I am not being racist here, but the doctor should be treated some manners on how to behave. Please don't take this against hospital. The staff is good and you find morons here and there.

WORST HOSPITAL I COULD EVER TAKE MY CHILD TO. My daughter was admitted for a swelling face, seemed breathing issue, high temps, (dehydration but unknown at the time). We were taken in the children's emergency ward where they told me I needed to catch a wee sample for my daughter, I've been in hospital with my daughter and son before, I KNOW how to catch a wee sample. Doctor kept getting angry with me telling me I'm not allowed to hold her, I have to sit on the chair lay her on the bed and wait. However how I was holding her I had the cup between her legs for hours waiting for this wee. I would have caught it. My daughter was restless and wanted cuddles. They wanted to do bloods to see of everythings okay. They put the needle in my daughters hand and squirm it around inside her like they don't know how to find a vein! It took so long of them moving a needle inside my baby's hand to find a vein.. We then left the needle in in case she needed antibiotics. Few hours passed still no wee, I cuddle her again. Massage her belly prompting her to wee and once again I'm in trouble for cuddling my daughter with a cup between her legs waiting to catch her wee!! They send in a nurse and the nurse tells me they're putting a catheter in.. A catheter?? For a damn 1 YEAR OLD!! I told them she has not had anything to drink!! How is she going to wee when there is NOTHING to wee.. I demanded for fluids to be put through her drip as its the only way right now to get her to wee. Wanna know what the doctors said? Well we want answers fast and now. So what? Put my little one year old baby through hell and pain so you can get answers quicker? Hell no. They put the drip on her and again, I was in trouble for holding her trying to catch her wee, so I layed her down and sat on the chair and she was restless, wanted mummies cuddles and I had to keep laying her down to catch this wee. I wasnt allowed to have the curtains closed now because I kept cuddling her and I was not allowed to. I lost it they wanted me to have my daughters privates on show for the world because they wanted to see us trying to catch it from across the room. I had to put a blanket over her to cover her privates and still try to keep laying a fidgety child that wants cuddles down to catch this wee. What happened? I missed it. Because she wouldn't keep still and wanted mummy. What happened when I missed it? All the nurses and doctors got angry, so I got angry. I said I would have caught it if I had her calm with the cup between her legs like I was for hours?? They then make me put a bag on her to catch her wee.. Are you deadset serious??? Couldn't do this before.. They all shook their heads at me as if its my fault and got angry. They don't care your child's in pain, they don't care what they put your child through along as they get answers fast and now. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. What was it in the end? She has a chesty cough, was a little dehydrated and her nose was stuffy.. All that for a flu.. I'm always safer than sorry, I've never had a bad experience in a hospital. Will never be returning here with my children AGAIN.
