In a word SHOCKING ! I will actively enourage anyone asking not to go to this hospital and avoid the stress and anxiety our family have suffered. Lip service is all we received after numerous, ongoing and very serious complaints being lodged - nothing will be done. Unfortunately we had to endure over a year of the worst possible treatment for my father with pancreatic cancer Thank goodness we got him into Greenwich for 4 kind and caring days before he died. He pleaded with us to get him out of the San and not to die there - don't think this could reflect worse on any hospital. We are fair and reasonable people that do not complain without good cause to do so.

The service at the hospital was good; although, they kept me overnight when I was good to go as soon as they received my blood test results and saw that I was fine. Financially, they were horrible. I paid for my stay when I left and asked if Medicare covered any of it and they said no. I was under the impression I paid for everything but then a few weeks later, I received a text message saying they'd send debt collectors after me and then shortly after that I received a cheque from Medicare that covered the rest of what I owed. When I handed that cheque in, I very clearly asked if that was it and I was told I didn't owe anything more. Then, a few days ago I received another debt collector threat so I called up the San pathology and was told the hospital hasn't sent them the money... Seriously? This is ridiculous treatment on my end and not at all worth the hassle. I expected more from a private hospital.

Dont do it! The service provided by the San Hospital during my dying fathers stay was, to say the least, an absolute disgrace. Directly after surgery for Pancreatic cancer he was allowed to fall on the floor, left in a room with faulty equipment, an inoperative buzzer and unable to alert a nurse to the fact his intravenous has become detached - he was left for weeks without receiving information, a diagnosis or a plan of action. Most shameful of all was the greedy nature of the organisation to keep giving him tests to squeeze more money out of the family, even after doctors had advised they could not do nothing further for him. Once we intervened and asked he have no further treatment and to move him to palliative care at another hospital, we were treated like criminals, shunned and ignored. The San is no longer a hospital, simply a business with patient care evidently not presenting adequate profits. What a disgraceful way for my proud father to see his final days out.

Came in for surgery for my son to get his tonsils out. Brand new children's ward and cheap parking made it a great choice.

Worse hospital experience ever !!!! They're Adventist religion prohibits patients eating or offered any fish, meat, chicken or dairy. Just because its their belief doesn't mean they should push it onto patients !!!
No parking unless you pay $25 a day. Was wrongly diagnosed by a so called professor , until I got another opinion . The old building is in desperate need of renovation.
You can't freely help yourself to tea/coffee as for some strange reason the nurses lock the door to the beverage room.
Trying to get a staff member on a Saturday to help you is nearly impossible as that's their religious day. Most of the staff were really really rude. I have the highest level of insurance and was still billed a gap. I refused to pay this from radiology as there is a law called "informed consent " which I wasn't given and didn't sign to say I would be charged. The hospital is in the middle of no where with very few public transport options available.
I refuse to follow the old testimony of their bible which says people.can't eat meat. So, I would say to anyone who goes here b.y.o food, or go across to the local shops to get a pizza or something. Really really ridiculous practices, oh, and nothing not even coffee shop open Sunday ! These people are living in the dark ages.
Take your business elsewhere !!
