Here at emergency at Royal North Shore, we had an amazing nurse look after my daughter in paediatrics. Others 2 nurses made us feel like a hassle and very unhelpful. Asked how much longer we would be here as I needed to put money for my car park, get told doctor is writing up our letter for us to leave, we got told this over an hour ago.

Nurse Kyle and Dr Max took great care of my wife when she had to go to Emergency recently. All the staff we encountered were friendly, caring and professional. Would recommend this hospital but hopefully you don’t need to visit often or at all.

The emergency department is incredibly neglected. They don’t care about their patients at all, today for example I sat on the floor of the emergency room for over 3 hours due to overcrowding and keeping patients in the waiting room instead of admitting them. I then was verbally abused by a staff member in front of everyone to the point of tears because I should stand instead of sitting. In 10 hours I saw the doctor once and was simply given pain management constantly as treatment. The only reason it gets a star is because the Nurses are brilliant and caring however that is the one and only positive thing about this hospital. If you ever need a surgical consultation expect to wait upwards of 6-10 hours and twice I’ve been sent home without seeing them due to being too busy, yet attending another emergency department within 24 I was treated to and responded to as an emergency. Would never return or recommend anyone ever come to total north shore hospital.

My daughter was taken taken to the neonatal intensive care unit right after she was born at north shore private. The nurses as doctors at the hospital were absolutely amazing!nnThe team spent night and day taking care of my little one until she had fully recovered. Even though my daughter had all these machines connected to her, they still allowed my wife to cuddle our new born, assisting with adjusting all the machines and cables so my wife was able to hold her.nnOnce again the team who assisted my daughter was absolutely amazing and I really appreciate all the effort they put in for her

I had a recent stay post some minor surgery. The nursing staff are so compassionate and kind and the staff doctors were right on the mark for specialist care. I never thought I'd this, however the food was amazing too.nMany thanks to the staff at 7F
