Amazing service from midwives, especially Effat who showed my wife how to efficiently feed our newborn daughter as it had been difficult in the first 2 days. The midwives definitely go above and beyond in providing service to the mum, baby and even husband helping husband with caring for the baby.nnThe views are amazing too.
Fantastic care from the moment I arrived through to discharge. I had a planned surgery and the team were all so wonderful. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because I had to share a room. I have top gold cover so found that a little annoying
I had a day surgery operation yesterday, and I just wanted to share my amazing experience in Stage 2 recovery with nurses Erika and Donna. I was so tired, overwhelmed, and in pain after my operation, and their kind words and support made me feel so at ease. I get super nervous in medical situations, and I can’t thank you both enough during that difficult time.nOverall, the facilities were lovely and the view from the rooms was beautiful. All staff were patient and kind. Thankyou again. I’m glad I chose the Mater.
Horrible experience. I had a breast surgery and I had to wait till I finished my surgery before I got assigned a room, so I had to carry all my stuff to wait around for literally 6 hours before my surgery. And after surgery, I have been told the kitchen is closed, so no proper dinner. Then I need to call my husband myself n told which room I was in as there is nobody reach out to my husband my status. I have asked if my husband be informed after my surgery and has been reassured that he will be informed, but no, no one cares, I feel I have been treated like meat the whole time.nWhen I checked out, I have been told there is no payment needed as it has been taken care of by private health fund. Then I received invoices in my mailbox. By the time I received the invoice, they have already sent to a third party company to collect it from me, honestly, I received all my related bills in my email not my physical inbox which I seldom check , they didn't even bother to email or call me before sending it to the collector.nI would not recommend anyone going to this so called private hospital, only their fee match up to private hospital standard but not anything else.
An absolutely wonderful private hospital, with fantastic care, facilities, food, and Catholic pastoral care for those who want it.nnThe birthing suites are new and well equipped, including a large tub for those who would like a water birth.nnDuring our stay, we were accommodated in the older and newer parts of the hospital, including the premium suite that has a double bed and city views. All of our rooms were clean and well sized, with generous ensuites.nnWe stayed during a COVID-19 lockdown, so we were encouraged to remain in our room. The lovely nurses helped to make this a peaceful and pleasant experience, despite the isolation, as well as the ability to order quality food at any time from 6.30am to 7pm from a large, generous and delicious menu.nnHighly recommended.
