We had a wonderful 3 day stay at M Social. The location at the harbour is excellent for seeing the city and we took a ferry to Waiheke Island. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. We were on the 8th floor and our room was quiet and comfortable. We are ate at the hotel restaurant and had a delicious meal. Highly recommend!
Had a two day stay right at the end of a month long trip to NZ and I have to say that M Social was a great end to the trip. Perfectly situated for the Waiheke Ferry and local attractions with a lovely bar and well equipped rooms. There was a bit of noise from the street traffic and Saturday night party people, but what do you expect from the downtown area of a city, so not a problem for us. We walked into Parnell for a dinner which took about 30 minutes. That area has a great vibe and like M Social is well worth a visit. Thanks for a lovely stay. Special mention for Hari the room service robot. Very cool.
Amazing stay at M Social! Get the upgraded room and take advantage of the barista coffee service in the morning, the gorgeous and delicious fruit plate on arrival, the delivery of ice to your room, and the incredible bottle of wine/charcuterie board combo free each evening. The charcuteries had crackers, fresh baked bread, gourmet cheese, almonds, cornichons, olives, and prosciutto or salami. It was slightly different every day. What a treat! The view of the harbor is superb and the location is the best of many hotels in the area from what we saw walking around. The restaurant was also excellent and a much needed easy dinner after our 24 hours of travel. We absolutely loved the oysters, served natural and with champagne mignonette. Beautifully cupped, served ice cold and so good we had them two nights in a row. The trevally ceviche and scallop ravioli were also standouts. We also had the beef tartare and enjoyed that as well. What really makes this hotel special though, is the staff. What a lovely group! Each one fantastic in their handling of both us and other guests we saw them interacting with. Friendly, cheerful, accommodating, quick to serve and engaged. It was special and the whole staff deserves kudos. A truly wonderful hotel experience, wish we could be in this hotel throughout our 3 weeks in New Zealand. We would love to come back one day! Thank you, M Social!
It's located in a very convenient location to a bunch of shopping and the viaduct. No one was by the hotel door to help us with luggage and when we checked in, the staff members seemed distracted while checking us in.nThe room is clean and bright. The gym is quite small and had one broken treadmill that didn't have a sign so I'm not sure if staff are aware of it.nOur rooms didn't include breakfast, but we were excited to try it. We ended up disappointed because the hostess gave us two menus and told us to sit anywhere. There's prices for a la carte and buffet and we opted for the buffet and just went up to get food. A staff member stopped us and asked if we were doing the buffet and then told us she'd bring us the bill so we could sign our room. It felt like maybe a staff member should have brought us to our seat and asked us what we wanted to prevent being stopped at the food counter and having guest and staff play a guessing game. The breakfast selection is mediocre. Another table was sat and the staff member who stopped us was quick to go to their table and explain the menu choices to them so I'm not sure if it's a lack of consistency or if they need more staff during the breakfast shift because it seemed like it was just her and the hostess working. Staff was also slow to clear tables.
very clean, modern, hit it at the right spot kind of hotel. fantastic location, service was superb- i stayed for my b'day n plate of the petit four.nlove the view maybe they upgraded us? i don't think i nominated harbour view.nnVery happy with the stay. worth the price.
