Great place. Nice and tidy, exactly what we needed for the night. Room has aircon and mini balcony for fresh auckland air. Closet town. Bathroom was decent. Downstairs breakfast I really enjoyed, not to badly priced.

Alrighty, To start off with the reception was absolutely superb. Great people with amazing customer service. The buildings carpark was full but they did give us a ticket to park in a parking building about 200m down the road. The only downside was there was only two cups and saucers in a room with three of us. We did ask for another mug via calling reception and one was sent up immediately. Other than that, it is a very good place to stay if you are going to Spark Arena.

The Copthorne wasn’t bad; it just wasn’t great either. The food in the restaurant was a little average. I wouldn’t rush back there but wouldn’t kick up a fuss if I was put there either. It’s really hard to put my finger on why this place didn’t resonate with me.

Room looks old. Washroom needs renovations/ updates. I wonder , I have seen other properties of Copthorn but this one is the worst. I heard good about it in Canada but shocked after checking in. This property is in the heart of Auckland but it doesn't fit to what is expected of it. Beware, don't go by name. I am posting some pics and will add some later.
