I had a very poor experience on Monday, 15 December 2025. At approximately 6:50 pm, as I was exiting the store via the Murray Street entrance, I was stopped by a female security guard and a female Kmart staff member, both of Indian appearance, who were conducting receipt and bag checks.nnThe manner in which this interaction was handled was unprofessional and discourteous. The security guard’s behaviour was particularly confrontational and made me feel uncomfortable. While I understand that bag and receipt checks are part of store policy, they should always be carried out politely and respectfully. Unfortunately, this was not the case during my visit.nIn addition to this incident, I have frequently found that many items are out of stock. However, the more serious concern is the attitude displayed by some staff members. On a previous visit, when I attempted to return an item, I encountered similar rudeness from security staff. At the time, I dismissed it as an isolated incident, but this recent experience suggests a recurring issue.nnCustomers who are simply shopping, paying for their items, and leaving the store should be treated with courtesy and respect. I strongly recommend that staff receive further training in customer service and professional conduct to ensure a more positive experience for all customers.
My work colleague and I went to your store today and when using the change rooms to try on some of your clothes we noticed how unkept they were. extremely dusty and dirty. an unpleasant experience unfortunately. always great products and friendly staff, but the change rooms need a little love and attention.
“Convenient Shopping at Kmart CBD”nnShopping at Kmart CBD is quite enjoyable, especially since it’s easily accessible by the free Yellow Cat bus, which is perfect for those without a car. There are plenty of discounts, and the product selection is quite complete.nnHowever, since it’s located in the city center, it can get very crowded. This Kmart has two floors—the upper floor is where you can find kids’ items like toys and clothing, while the lower floor has fashion for men and women, along with fitting rooms.
I wanted to find a specific book on my lunch break and was amazed by the layout and presentation of the book section! The best one I’ve seen out of many Kmart stores. I asked a lady for help finding my book I can’t remember her name but think it starts with an “A”? and she was super helpful and nice. 10/10 experience!
Staff are completely incompetent. 4 staff members told me different info.nnAsking for the location of an item I was told it’s in Home and Decor, then asked someone else and told it’s in Laundry, then Bathroom, then in Beauty.nnWebsite said in stock, found the item tag in Beauty with no stock left.nnStaff said all the stock is in the basement and needs to be put on the shelves, how about hiring some more staff for your flagship store in Perth?
