of all the Myer shops i have bought from, i had by far the best experience here. the lady was patient, kind, and even provided me with testers and great packaging for my cologne. I was supposedly also upgraded to a VIP membership which makes it even better
I went into the perfume section yesterday at this store and had poor service at the Jo Malone stand. I waited patiently to be served, then the lady cut me off mid sentence answering which what she thought I was going to ask. Then proceeded to scan items and do other work while I stood there waiting to make a purchase. I felt very judged and was unable to make a purchase even if I wanted to. I waited with my partner and then left without anything.
Poor customer service. Went the other day to the shoes section. No one was there to help. I went to the Myers staff to request them to assist me as I really needed them to get me the pair of shoes from inside. They told me the staff for that particular brand will be back soon. Waited there for a few minutes. Nobody came to help. I eventually left without buying anything.
Unfortunately Myer is a shadow of its former self these days. With the exceptional service that was once a given each time you visited their grand stores now mostly gone. You spend more time looking for someone to assist you than you do shopping here now. And when you do find someone, they're mostly unaware of what their selling.nNot always, there are still some great staff here and there, but it's not the flagship experience it once was to visit Myer or David Jones for that matter, with its old fashioned service.nHaving one staff member on in the mens shoe department on a busy Friday late night shopping period is pretty poor.
Lots to choose from & it was very busy there. Popular place! Went there specifically to get Bamboo socks for Dad, as a Father's Day gift. The lady at the counter was very friendly & sweet. Explained to me that as long as I keep the receipt I can exchange or get a total refund for the items. as long as I haven't worn or opened them of course!
