After suffering chest pains, I was cared for by the ED and team for nearly 24 hours, before being admitted into the new cardio wing.nThe care was fantastic. In particular the ED staff went above and beyond to assist me though my time there, even going so far as to show my wife many accommodating kindnesses. They really had their hands full, but I was amazed at their diligence and first class efforts, despite their very long shifts. Well done!
We recently welcomed our new baby and unfortunately, our experience at this hospital was deeply disappointing—especially when compared to the outstanding care we received at King Edward Hospital last year. The contrast was stark.nnAt this facility, the midwives and nurses appeared disengaged and uninterested. There was little to no attention given to checking in on either my partner or our newborn. The level of care felt indifferent at best. To make matters worse, during visiting hours, one of the midwives rudely told us to leave because our 1-year-old daughter was crying—something that should have been met with understanding, not hostility.nnIn contrast, King Edward provided us with compassionate, attentive care. We felt supported every step of the way.nnIf you're considering where to give birth, I strongly recommend avoiding this hospital. It was a disappointing and disheartening experience. Choose King Edward if you want proper care and respect during such an important time
I just spent three nights at Joondalup public hospital, one night in HDU and two nights in L2 wards. I have to say the care I received from all the staff in both wards was exemplary. Due to the wonderful care I received I recovered better and faster than expected and I am so grateful to each and every staff member. Thank you to all of you for your outstanding level of care, I truly appreciate you.
My husband had a small procedure in the day procedure unit today and we couldn’t speak highly enough of all the nurses and front desk staff. After an awful experience with the gastroenterologist’s direct receptionist earlier today, it was so lovely talking to staff that had professional phone manner. The first nurse I spoke to on the phone was incredibly patient with me and directed me to the unit . The staff at the front desk were friendly and attentive. Even though the nurses would have been very busy, they still took the time to go above and beyond, making my husband comfortable and confident he was in safe hands. Thank you DPU staff!
Sent me home with suspect cyst on ovary asked could they please keep me in over night pain was 8/10 had gone down to 3 after pain meds given I had been let go multiple times before and pain has come back. Pain has come back and bleeding bloodclotting and told to come back and do it all over again. If I come to emergency it's because I'm in pain and somethings wrong. I have children I need to think about so if I go into emergency figure out what it is before you send people home So disappointed and not the first time it's happened. My brother with a bowel obstruction was told to come back if pain got worse. He went to another hospital they figured it out really quickly
