Just wanted to give a massive shoutout to Mohammed who works in customer service at JBHIFI - he was extremely polite, thoughtful and well mannered. Honestly he put a smile on my face and I wanted to make that known.
Really comprehensive store with a great range of gadgets on display. We visited on Sunday to buy some tech to improve our Wi-Fi signal and were helped by Roger, who was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. He made the whole experience excellent, taking the time to share his expertise and recommend the right system for us. We’re very grateful for his service. Thanks, Roger — five stars from us!n
I was going to buy a new flagship Samsung mobile from either Officeworks or Jbhifi, but we were at Officeworks first anyway and the display item demo wasn't even turned on despite Samsung having all an entire section dedicated to it, so we decided to go to Jbhifi nearby instead. At Jbhifi that same item didn't have a dedicated section for it but it was on sale for $1937, but each time we tried a feature on it the piercing security alarm went off. The first time it happened a the worker didn't look amused or ask if we needed help and just said the alarm couldn't be turned off and we had to wait until the alarm turned off itself, so I approached another pair of them who were standing together and said I went there specifically to buy that item and the alarms could be impacting sales as it's quite traumatic how it makes it look like you're trying to steal an item by just trying the item, but they said its alarm was faulty, so I asked why there wasn't a warning sign to inform customers not to be alarmed by the faulty alarms that could go off just by touching the mobile device, but they didn't have a response to that, and I asked if other items had faulty alarms too and they indicated on the affirmative, they barely smiled. Anyway, we left the store and came back and the alarm went off again when I tried using its camera zoom, but this time no staff seemed bother trying to turn it off at all, I asked if it was ok to reluctantly keep trying it despite the alarm going off and they said yes. I ended up getting one of them to get the item for me and bought it, and only really got a smile from them at the end after I paid for it with the credit card. They weren't protactively helpful in showing me covers and protective glass for it until I specifically asked them, even though they had a guaranteed sale and could easily upsell. I didn't bother asking them to prove match Officeworks that were selling it for $2 less for $1935. The other staff member didn't smile at all when we thanked them leaving the store. I felt like I should have chosen another worker to buy it through incase they're commission-based, since there were some who smiled and asked if we needed help when we were there later on. I think Jbhifi doesn't have suitable working conditions, those piercing alarms would be making the staff go mental. It reminded me of being in hospital bed trying to sleep and hearing all the alarms going off from people pressing the help button to notify any nurse that was available for help, except the Jbhifi alarm has a far more piercing pitch.
Waited 1h30 in store was asked to talk to 5diff employees no one was able to help until this nice girl at the end. It’s the 3rd time I had to bring in my headphones don’t buy Bose it’s terrible and each time it was bad management in store. Had to queue up 3x for the same issue cause they kept sending me back to the store back the front etc. I don’t blame the employees but management needs to did a solution
Served by Bikram who helped me tremendously when buying my first laptop. JB hi-fi is extremely lucky to have such a dedicated member of staff on board. The service received expands far beyond the stores image. This young man will go far.nnAll the best Bikram and thank you.
