We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite for 1 night. When we arrived we were greeted by lovely receptionists and even offered an apple to my son. The lobby was nice same with the room when we entered. It was spacious and we really like the layout. We didn't getthe chance to check the room as we had to go out. When we came back at 6pm, the parking was full as there was an event in the hotel. I parked outside and had to moved my car at 9pm in the car park.nnI have a son who is nearly 2 and who loves to play around. While I was preparing our stuff, my son was pretty quiet and I noticed that he was checking something underneath the couch. It was a dead cockroach which he almost played with it. Not small cockroach though.nnAfterwards, my wife found out that 2 of the 3 towels have hairs on it. Because of these, we're no longer at ease with the cleanliness of the room and we don't know if the towel had already been used. I mentioned it to the staff and offered to do some cleaning checks.
We stayed in a suite, good size rooms with balcony a bonus. Beds were comfortable, however there were tears in our bed linen. Our shower also had a bit of mold, and the air conditioning did not work effectively on the coldest setting with highest fan. Obviously this wouldn't be an issue in winter. Restaurants and bars nearby, good location.
This hotel opened in 2008 and was progressively renovated from 2015 to 2019. It is my first choice for accommodation in Canberra at the moment.nnAs it stands, it feels fresh and contemporary. It doesn't overwhelm you with bling but it feels refined and luxe. The low rise building is extensive and contained all the amenities you would expect in a 5 star hotel. Rooms are clean, generous in size and well appointed. The refurb definitely hit the mark.nnThe staff are friendly and helpful.nnThere are restaurants on site as well as in the surrounding area. It is a quiet area though. You won't find a shopping centre within walking distance.nnThe undercover parking is very handy. Be warned, when the hotel is hosting one or more functions, the parking situation can become tight. First in, best dressed, is the rule.
Exceptional Stay at the Realm Hotel – Highly Recommend!nThis was our second staycation at the Realm Hotel, and once again, everything was superb. Our suite was incredibly spacious, and the newly renovated bathroom was beautifully done. As always, the bed was exceptionally comfortable & the room was quiet, making for a restful stay.nWe dined at both Ostani and MED—fantastic food, drinks, and ambience at both venues.nnThe standout, however, was the service, the Hotel staff are exceptional, their training must be outstanding because every interaction was professional, friendly, and welcoming. A truly seamless and enjoyable stay—highly recommend!
Service was amazing, from start to finish every interaction we had we staff were pleasant. the facilities were great.nnA good size gym, swimming pool ,bars and restaurantsnnLocation was also pretty handy, a short drive to most sites we wanted to visit The Cleanliness of the Bathroom was a little disappointing, also a fan in the bathroom is a must- the Bathrooms have no FAN or a way of ventilation
