Hotel Canberra - Realm

The hotel itself is very nice, clean and modern. The rooms reflected the ordered and high-end decor of the hotel. Although the hotel itself was well managed, the service was probably not quite what I expected from a 5 star stay. (I am just being picky because it was expensive). I stayed in a group of three but we were only given one king size bed. We could physically fit onto the bed - but this was pretty bizarre and a really unnecessary aspect to the sleep. Trays of food left outside of hotel doors would not be cleaned for a whole day and were not pleasant to look at. Our used towels were not properly replaced. Room service meals were very limited - only 2 dessert selections. All the staff were lovely except one lady at the reception who gave us really uncalled for attitude. Otherwise its a very chill place. Free underground parking was good as well.

One of the best hotels in Canberra. Elegant, great service, excellent breakfast and very good location next to Parliament House and short walk to Manuka. Cool bar and good restaurant also in the hotel.

Function hall, canapes, drinks and desserts are amazing. Main courses are okay, but not the best. Staff are incredibly friendly and facilities are amazing as well as ample parking for evening functions.

Had our Xmas party there, tapas & pizzas. Instead of serving up 2 different dishes of chicken wings, could have been a bit more innovative or generous with the tapas. The pizzas were great though. They have a good selection of beers on tap & plenty of outdoor space if you need some fresh air.

Very convenient to Barton business district. Good restaurants on site. Polite and courteous staff.
