We were renovating our kitchen and visited Harvey Norman Maroochydore to look at appliances. We had an idea of what we wanted and prices in the market. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful, without any sales pressure. They provided a quote, which was very competitive, and in addition secured better warranties at no extra cost, and gave a gift voucher. We did not obtain other quotes and ordered from Harvey Norman. They have been excellent to deal with, and delivery was effected at the agreed time, in a very professional manner. We had a manufacturing problem with one item, contacted Harvey Norman and they arranged a replacement immediately. We predominately dealt with Josh Hynes, and his knowledge and level of service was superb. We highly recommend Harvey Norman Maroochydore.
Very Disappointing Customer Service ExperiencenI purchased a Lenovo laptop from Harvey Norman Maroochydore for my daughter, who is extremely careful with her devices. This was the third Lenovo product we’ve bought from them. As I have noticed with my other ideapads the hinges became very stiff. When she tried to open the laptop she had to apply a bit more pressure than usual, and the screen cracked right across.nGiven that Harvey Norman promotes their in-house repair/technical service as a major advantage, I returned it expecting reasonable support. Even though it was past the 12 month warranty period. They arranged to send it to Lenovo for assessment. Unfortunately the whole process took five weeks, with almost no communication from the store. I had to call every week just to get an update. The laptop wasn’t even sent to Lenovo for nearly a week after we dropped it off.nLenovo ultimately ruled it was “user induced” damage. When I finally spoke with a manager to express my frustration with the long delay and poor communication, the response was defensive. Instead of listening to my concerns about the process, I was essentially told that Lenovo are the experts, their 5–6 week timeline is standard, and that I must be trying to get a free repair I didn’t deserve.nI was left feeling accused of dishonesty rather than being treated as a long-term customer with a genuine issue.nSadly this experience has convinced me not to shop at Harvey Norman Maroochydore again. If you expect clear communication and fair customer service when something goes wrong, you may want to consider other options
Thanks to Simone who assist my boyfriend Lachlan with getting an iPhone and accessories today. He was not pushy at all. He was knowledgeable and just incredibly nice. He deserves a bonus!
Like most other larger Harvey Norman shops but not as busy as they others. We purchased a TV and the service was good and friendly. However, it was also very little interaction and minimal effort.
Absolute cesspit of a store, Harvey Norman is suppose to be leaders in customer service but the culture that is present at this store is anything but. Had called about an issue related to an item purchased at the store and heard the staff member laughing to another staff member about my situation thinking I couldn’t hear, I had gone in person to discuss this with the manager and spoke to someone from the fridge area as apparently the owner “was on holiday”. Literally the rudest person I have ever met despite my calm and polite attitude. Worst experience of my life.
