I purchased a brand new MacBook from Harvey Norman Maroochydore. It worked initially, then I travelled overseas and did not take the laptop with me. When I returned and tried to use it again after only two total uses it would no longer power on.nnFor a premium product bought new, this is unacceptable.nnThroughout the process I was repeatedly told that the laptop was being “repaired free of charge,” as if that were a benefit. From a customer perspective, buying a new computer and receiving it back repaired within weeks is not a positive outcome — it is simply the minimum required under warranty.nnThe repair process took two weeks, leaving me without a computer, and no replacement, refund, or even a small goodwill gesture voucher, credit, etc. was offered to acknowledge the inconvenience. I escalated the matter to the store manager, Max, however the response remained procedural rather than customer-focused. A simple goodwill gesture or gesture of care would have significantly minimised the impact of this experience.nnAt this point, it honestly feels like there is little difference between buying new and buying second-hand, which defeats the purpose of paying full price for a premium product.nnBased on this experience, I would not recommend purchasing high-value electronics from this store.
Sam Jett helped me so much today. He was very patient and personable with my purchase. I spent a lot of time price matching instore and he really helped me and made me feel like a valued customer. He spent lots of time researching the go pro models with me. Highly recommended. Thanks again Sam.
Thanks to Simone who assist my boyfriend Lachlan with getting an iPhone and accessories today. He was not pushy at all. He was knowledgeable and just incredibly nice. He deserves a bonus!
The old guy in the tech section has no idea what he was talking about, wasting hours of our time driving between their warehouses because he sent us to the wrong place. They were reluctant to give us any sort of compensation and barely got an apology, just seem like they didn’t care at all to be honest. Would recommend avoided completely.
First and last time, I think. Only wanted one thing and tried to get help finding it with no luck. Also couldn't help find anyone to check out with. There was one person there either talking with this mates or family, and was there obviously just having a chinwag. I had people just completely ignore me. Stood around the front cashier and one other sales rep had cut in front of me. At least I found what I needed and got the cashier's attention... eventually. What a shame. I felt so unwelcomed.
