Loved the location. Our room was tired, long over due for a proper clean and there weren't power points on both sides of our bed. We've never come across this before in all of our travels. The bed was hard, basic and not great if you're staying for a decent length of time. The towels we had were thin, frayed and had definitely seen better days. For a hotel this size that looks quite busy you'd expect better. We asked for our room to be serviced after 3 nights in our 5 night stay. We came back to rubbish still in our room, the sheet thrown over the bed and even worse towels than what we had. Seriously was shocked that these towels were still in rotation. The very bare minimum and the dust, soap scum and smell in the bathroom and general neglect was obvious that the cleaners aren't doing their job. There was plenty of parking and convenient bus stop right out the front.nnWhen we checked in the two gentleman on the counter were friendly and were happy to bring extension cords for my husband to use his cpap machine over night. I liked it that we had windows that opened to allow fresh air in but there were no locks to secure the room. Very mixed feelings about the place but wouldn't go back here unless they improved these things.
I stayed here recently with my small famalam on two seperate occasions. First time was somewhat pleasant still kinda gross but our most recent stay was unpleasant and made me sick, literally.nnWe stayed in a spa room with a balcony for my daughter's birthday. Everything seemed clean and up to standards for the price that was paid until I found a previous guests used crusty underwear sitting on a pipe above a bin under the bathroom sink... Not to mention to amount of effort my partner and myself went to too clean the spa... There was a lot of gunk, pubes and crap in the jets... We had to buy cleaning products to clean and sanitize it before anyone could use it. After using said spa I felt sick and had lower abdomen pain after, my partner experienced the same outcome and I'm guessing as did my daughter she's 2.... The shower could also use a proper scrub with proper cleaning tools.nnFor an expensive room you would also think you would get a couch if some sort, all the chairs provided were stained and outdated and the carpet smelt stale. The heater we were provided with was missing a wheel also.nnThe staff at this facility are unprofessional and do not take notice to detail, it is clear that they do the bare minimum. The receptionists however are well trained, polite and understanding, they do their jobs well.nnThe television in our room kept randomly turning on and off and exiting apps such as YouTube after a few moments of viewing. The balcony is a great touch but the traffic wakes you up pretty early if you are staying in a room facing the main road it's pretty loud.
Extremely disappointing experience.nThe hotel’s own website clearly advertises a “Breakfast Service” with continental breakfast boxes available for purchase from Reception, yet when I politely asked about it, the staff rudely told me there was absolutely no breakfast service at all. When I showed them the information on their own website, they simply said “that’s not here.”nnIf that’s true, then this is false advertising. And if they do offer it, then the staff are completely untrained and giving guests incorrect information. Either way, it’s unacceptable.nnThe staff were extremely rude and unhelpful, showing no willingness to assist or even be polite. The women at reception in particular made us feel unwelcome, though the man working at night was kind and professional, the only positive interaction we had.nnAs for the room, it was spacious and clean, but the beds were quite uncomfortable.nnIf you don’t like hospitality, you shouldn’t work in customer service. This place really needs to train their staff properly and fix the misleading information on their website.nDefinitely not recommended.
One of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in, the staff were unpleasant to talk with, room service couldn’t simply replace an empty bottle of soap even after asking them multiple times, the condition of the bathroom is kept to a minimum standard, in the middle of the night other occupants at the hotel were noisey and abrasive and staff did nothing about it and to top it off they don’t mention to you that you need to pay a $200 deposit upfront that wont come back for a MONTH, pathetic excuse of accommodation. I do not recommend.
Below-expectation 2-night stay at Great Eastern Motor Lodge, Perth. Our group of four stayed in a 2-bedroom apartment. While the location was good and free parking was provided, the overall experience fell short. Parking is limited and often full. The room assigned was quite far from the escalator, and the unit felt dull and dated. Staff were polite but very formal, and the water pressure was weaker than expected. Not the best option for comfort or convenience.
