A bit disappointingnWe booked an executive room in the Aspire Wing. For the extra price you’d expect the facilities to be better. Old TV, not a smart TV, so we couldn’t stream Apps or movies. Towel provided was threadbare with several stains and couple of holes, there was a coffee pod machine in kitchenette but no pods provided so you could make a coffee, just instant coffee satchels . Good size King bed but quite hard, no topper, and only one pillow. Shower recess was odd, with no shelf to put body wash, shampoo etc if you were bring your own. This is an older hotel, and the rooms have been renovated so the bathroom and furnishings are nice, but it misses the mark for the little things that matter.nOn a good note the food from the restaurant was really good, both breakfast and dinner, and room service was quick. Friendly staff.
We had a Riverview Room level 10. Fantastic views! We spent night times sitting out on the balcony small table and 2 chairs out there. Beautiful on a summers night.nWe liked this type of room because there is plenty of space, also a 2 seater lounge and room to eat or work at the table/bench if need be. Good sized smart TV which we could log into our Netflix account on. Fridge also worked well and was slightly larger than some of the crappy box fridges you get in hotels. As mentioned earlier, the view was beautiful.nnIt is an older hotel which is evident in some areas, but many renovations have been done including the restaurant part downstairs. I believe the chef there is fairly new. All the food we had was hot, fresh and tasty and really good sized servings. Food not expensive for a hotel neither is room service. Room service burger and steak sandwich really hit the spot for a late dinner after we had been out all day steak very tender and the chicken burger was made with crumbed chicken, not a thin, over processed patty . Larger menu if you go to the restaurant to eat than order room service though. Drinks very reasonably priced.nRe food - the meat on the ribs fell off the bone. They were glossy and saucy, not dry. The parmi was large and steaming hot, as were the chips. Crumb on chicken was crisp. Salad very fresh, just not overly keen on the dressing personal preference.nThe cheesus toastie was soooo good if you just feel like a coffee and a toastie for breakfast. Coffee was great too. Everything we had for breakfasts was delicious, well cooked and excellent quality. Food came out in good time as well.nnThe room was really spacious, bed and pillows comfortable and air conditioning worked very well. Everything we needed was there.nnEasy free parking on site. Great value for money. Close to Crown Casino, Perth Zoo, the WACA and public transport. If you have your won car it is an easy drive into Freo as well.
The stay was very good, me and my partner enjoyed it, the only issue is trying to get in contact with the hotel management we have called, no answer. As well as tried finding an email, no luck, to discuss when we would receive our deposit back as nothing was damaged within our 1 night stay.nnIt has been almost 2 weeks since our stay there.
The room is modern, clean, toilet also clean, and worth the price as we put low expectations due to the review but surprisingly we don't find anything to complain.nnConvenient location if you have a car because the hotel provides free parking for the in house guests. 24hours check in check out procedure and they are able to store the luggage as well plus point for that!.nnOverall we have a satisfactory stay in this hotel and would recommend for travellers that want a bigger space and away from the city noise.nnBe prepared to face the morning traffic rush if you intend to head to the city early morning as you need to cross the bridge to get to the city.
We had booked a river view room but it stank of cigarette smoke so they kindly moved us to the newer Aspire section. It was half the size of rooms in older section but much tidier and modern - and had a lovely river view from our bed Rm 417. It’s overall pretty rough tbh, but close to airport, city and casino and staff did the best they could under the circumstances.
