Best bike shop in Brisbane. Excellent customer service. I purchased a bike from these guys 8years ago and the follow service has been exceptional ever since. The guys helped me out with an issue today and didn’t charge me for the labour involved. This is how they maintain a loyal following. Thanks guys
I recently went looking for a new road bike around Brisbane and visited a number of different shops. Service was mixed throughout, but it was only when I got to cyc'd that I knew I'd get my bike from here. I was assisted by Julian was patient with my questions and wasn't quick to sell me something that A didn't fit or B didn't fit my riding preferences. It was great dealing with him and I genuinely appreciate the effort he took to explain queries as we went through the different options that fit my budget. Really happy with the purchase and will be recommending this store to others. Keep it up lads!
I've recently only purchased my new bike from Cyc'd after a long standing relationship with other stores. I'd have to say that the service and the quality of what I was able to walk out with was second to none. I feel comfortable that the guys there will look after me at the drop of a hat. The hub on my Bontrager wheels exploded and they didn't hesitate to give me a set of wheels to use whilst they carried out the repairs. The new bike experience has also been fantastic. They stayed back through the night to ensure I could have my new bike when they said I could and have ensured that I have been happy with my choices since. I don't see myself ever needing to go anywhere else especially with their prices being so competitive with the internet and that Giant's seem to be cheaper here than anywhere else in the world...why would I...?
Best bike shop in town hands down !! I've purchased a few bikes from Jaaron & the team including kids bikes, a bike for my wife and myself. I've also referred other people and couldn't fault their service. They appear to have something for all kinds of cyclist from beginners to elite racers. I've been riding/racing bikes most of my life and have to say that I've never had a better bike servie than these guys.
This is part of my letter to Giant some parts witheld because its not relevant. Just dont buy your bike here! To Giant customer care. Hereby a summary of one year of riding a Giant Anthem X 29 Xl and Giant Talon from Cycd for bikes. In March 2017 I went to Cycd for bike to look for a new bike for myself and my partner and they advised me the Anthem and the Talon for my partner. At the time of purchase I questioned or the Fox 32 Stepcast fork on the Anthem was strong enough for me but I was assured it was better than the 34 mm Fox on the Trance so I relied on the advice of the shop staff knowledge since I was new to the sport offroad cycling. So I purchased the 2 bikes and I was happy for the first week until my partner and I went for a ride along the river in Brisbane. Towards the end of that ride my partner had a big crash on her bike heavily bruised legs arms and lots of skin missing from her hands and knees etc, she had to brake for a turn downhill in to our street. She complained the bike did not brake very well. Upon closer inspection of the bike I noticed the rear brake had been leaking brake fluid over the brake pads and disk so there was no braking power and caused the OTB. I took the bike to Cycd for bikes and told them about the issue only to be told to fix it myself because they were to busy!!!!! I was very disappointed I just spend around 3.5 k on bikes to be told to fix it myself, not impressed!!! My partner never touched the bike again, I sold the bike for a big loss. Around the end of March I decided to buy a dropper post from Cycd, so they fitted a 150 mm dropper only to be broken in one hourly ride. I got told I am to heavy for the 150 mm dropper post so they fitted an 125 mm dropper post which I had some trouble with dropper stayed open no fixed position this problem occurred in colder weather the shop did not know what the problem was so nothing get done. Later on the dropper stopped operating at all Cycd replaced but dropper did not operate smoothly after repair, I got told nothing they could do about that until completely broken. More on this saga later. In April 2017 I had to go back to Cycd because I had excessive movement on my rear wheel bearing, it needed “adjustment”, they made me think there were cone bearings in the hubs so that was justified. I ended up going back to Cycd about every 30 days to get that “bearing” adjusted and I was told I am to heavy for these hubs which I think might be true more on that later. Only the wheel bearing made me go back to Cycd about 15 times until the bearings finally got replaced in February 2018. These wheels are extremely flexible though again i was told I am to heavy for this wheel. Who sold me this bike as a good bike for me? Cycd same as Giant Brisbane. Within a couple of months I started to notice that I had excessive movement in my forks on the bushings and stanchions maintenance has been done on the fork regularly, I mentioned this in the shop Cycd and the try to tell me this was normal! So I went for second opinion from an suspension specialists and a pro mtb rider atthere opinion was that the fork needed work. So I had the forks taken of by another bike shop and sent back to Fox they replaced the bushings in the lower legs and replaced stanchion upper crown steerer assembly. At least I had “new” firm fork on my bike which felt way better, but is still to light for me. Last week I picked up a replacement dropper post for my since the old one was worn out, I picked up a 150 mm dropper and fitted it all grease in appropriate spots and tightens with a torque wrench. I rode the bike for 1 hour and the dropper was heavily scorned!! I went through nine droppers on this bike, until I found a large weld in the tube sticking out pushing the seatpost out of line. Giant never looked in there to solve the problem. Save yourself lots of problems and buy your bike somewhere else.
I have used Cyced for bikes twice now, and have the best experience and professional service. They are honest and care about what you are buying and make sure it’s the right fit for you. Also shout out to Julian and Ben for the help they offer. Thanks Cyced see you next time for number 3.
Great Service. There are closer stores to me, even a closer Giant store, but I happily keep going here and Giant Brisbane because they look after me. Jaaron is fantastic. Knows his stuff and is always helpful. Couldn't be happier.
I rocked up with some parts I'd bought elsewhere but didn't have the tools to fit and needed some help. Jaaron happily helped me fit them no questions asked and no charge! I've since had a mate buy a bike from here, picked up bits for whatever I've broken or dropped stuff in for a service. All round great shop.
Right from when I purchased my 2016 Giant Defy Advanced Pro 1 Jaaron, Lawson & the team have provided exception customer service. Initial custom bike fit changes and upgrades, routine servicing and specialised advice, arranged warranty replacement of frame, seat & wheelset, upgrade of wheetset to some fantastic Zipp 303's. A special thanks also to Giant for standing by their product.
I'm outraged, I don't even want to think what could have happened to my son. They sold me a kids bike and told it's checked. Few days later I discovered the v-brake has come loose and stopped working. Then I inspected the bike further and both pedals were on their way to come off. If this happened while my son was riding down a hill, he could not only get seriously hurt but also would loose all his confidence at the early stages of learning to ride.
