Avanti Plus The Valley

Have been shopping here occasionally over the past few years and have recently bought a new bike from the store. The service from the staff I have received could not have been better. Emails are promptly answered and I have always been attended to quickly when in the shop. Staff are very professional and knowledgeable and also include a free basic bike video fit when buying a bike to ensure you get the right size frame, stem, seat position etc. Being able to walk into the shop, say that I would like to buy the bike, get fitted on the bike and be riding the bike home within 30 minutes isn't something I've experienced in other shops. As an experienced cyclist it was great to be able to talk to staff who know their products and help customers out with the right selection. Also kudos to Jeff from the service department for his professionalism and quick service when I bought my bike in on short notice. I highly recommend the team at Avanti Plus The Valley.

Returned to Avanti to find the business has changed hands. The new team are thorough and did an awesome job bringing my road bike back to life post being neglected. Had a minor issue with final bill however all was settled diplomatically and with complete professionalism and the highest of integrity. Great job guys!! Thank you very much

As a former road racer and Italo-Australian bike club Melbourne member, I recommend this shop. Would leave 10 stars if I could. Why? Customer service and value for money. I was looking to purchase a road bike to ride again after a break of 30 plus years. I had already decided upon the bike I wanted. But needed the apparel. I had already been to 2 bike shops closer to home, but left without purchasing. The gentleman serving me spent over ONE HOUR assisting me choose the correct apparel. There was no pushing of unnecessary items and actually, I was reigned in from buying a few items I thought I wanted. Bottom line: if you want quality and value for money and great customer service and no pushy selling tactics.... take the time to make this shop your go-to shop. I travelled 32 KM to shop here!

I've bought 3 bikes over 3 years from Dave and his team for myself and two boys. Excellent communication, great advice and price. A pleasure to deal with. I'll be back and I recommend AvantiPlus to all my biking friends. Keep up the good work!

I bought a bike here several years ago and the after sales service has been excellent. Highly recommend Valley Cycles for their attentive customer service, they really look after you!

These guys are amazing. I dropped into the store after another bike store had completely wrecked the disc brakes while servicing my BMC. They sounded like a screeching violin and the bike was totally unridable. These fellows picked up my bike from home, replaced the necessary parts, and dropped it home again; all within 24 hours. I got a phone call explaining what they’d done and why. I got another call a few days to check that everything was ok. Great service from a team that cares about their customers. No better place in Brisbane to get your bike serviced.

I wanted to support my local bike shop but they were not interested in trying to find me the bike I wanted. I rang Ben at Avanti and straight away I got the feeling that my business was important to them. Ben not only found me the bike and size I wanted but also matched a special price offered by an interstate shop. My bike was delivered on the date promised and when I went to pick it up the mechanic spent 30 minutes going over all parts and features of the bike as well as setting it up for my weight and riding style. They were also only too happy to make a few adjustments to the bike after my first ride. I would have no hesitation recommending Avanti Plus The Valley to anyone looking to buy or service a bike. So, they sell on price point, if you expect service better go elsewhere. Great mechanics but, fortunately he wasn't busy and was able to help me select my new bike as the rest of the staff had no clue and were unfriendly. A couple of months later and my saddle fell apart "oh, you drop the bike, warranty won't cover that.." no empathy, no offer to give a good price on a replacement saddle, just sent out the door with my broken saddle... As a MTB rider falling off is part of learning and that fall was barely a washout, barely a scratch on me or the bike. Still I would have expected to at least pretend to be on my side, not dismiss me so casually. Of course I bought a better saddle elsewhere. I've had even brought one of my friends in who bought a bike purely on my recommendation. Staff were unfriendly again but the price was good. I've 2 newbies who have been using my spare bike, but as the time come I'll be directing them elsewhere. --- My review Unfortunately was very accurate, it's a lie that you offered me another saddle, I mean common, if you offered me a saddle -- even at a slightly reduce cost-- why would I need to complain? This actually proves your deceit. The crash was barely a washout at low speed. As it is you just sent me on my way with an unsafe broken saddle with the weekend of riding coming up. No comparison.
