Story

Located just off the Bass Highway between Elizabeth Town and Deloraine, Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm was established in 1984 when the Dornauf family planted twelve acres of raspberry canes on a north facing hill on their property.
In 1995 the café was built and is now a dining hotspot for locals and tourists alike.
In December 2012 the new shop was opened creating more space for customers to enjoy all the deliciousness the Raspberry Farm Cafe has to offer.

We made this a mandatory stop. One of the best regional tourist cafe/restaurants in Australia. Staff very attentive, food exceptional, setting other worldly. Definitely stop and take your time to soak the raspberries up

We just love the Raspberry Farm for a meal out in style. Great staff, treat you like one of the family and very professional. Food is delicious, consistent and reasonably priced. They use in-season ingredients, including plenty of their own raspberries. You can buy souvenirs and take away raspberries as well. A lovely outdoor area for kids including an enclosed play area for little ones, a walk around the lake and a football to kick on the grass.

Nice little spot. Visible from the main road. Limited parking. Inside and outside dining. Great little play area for the kids. Very busy. Slow kitchen service. Very attentive wait staff. Main meals were very average. Desserts quite good. Extensive drinks range - lots of raspberry options, not enough time to try them all. Also have a "shop" section to pick up different berries and berry related products (both edible and cosmetic).

We were on our way to Cradle Mountain from Launceston. I’m personally a raspberry addict/lover, so I was super happy to have found this place prior to visiting Tasmania. It did not disappoint me. Even though we did not see a single raspberry on the farm, it was a very pretty place to visit (take a stroll around, pretty scenery). It was a surprise (or not) that the cafe is nearly full (inside and outside), but we weren’t kept waiting for long at all. For a raspberry fanatic, this place is heaven. You can order any drink or meal and sure it comes with some form of raspberry. Even though savory food sounds weird with raspberry, but no it was great balance! Definitely give this place a try, it’s a great stop on the way to Cradle Mountain. ;) The only mistake I did was leaving without bringing some fresh raspberries with me >_

This is definitely an iconic place to visit. The fruit is grown on the property and so fresh. Great variety of very palate pleasing delectable items on the menu. If you drive past this one turn around and go back.
