We were served by Lotus and she recommended to have the oyster platter. We ordered half a dozen with assorted taste and they were very fresh! $30 for 6, if you are keen on the pricing.nWe ordered the salmon and chicken for the main and they were good enough to fill our empty stomachs. We didn't order any sides, and thankfully we didn't, as we could barely finish our mains. I strongly recommend the local Premium Lager if you are into beer, and the gin was good too! All in all we spent $150, and do note that 2% additional charge for credit card payment which the staff didn't even know!.nnP.S. music is too loud for our liking. Can’t get a decent conversation going esp if you are seated on the outside
Staying in Launceston for one night and settled on Mudbar vs Levees.nI only want to comment on the food, everything was 10/10.nWe shared 6 oysters and the rabbit ravioli to start, the ravioli are very well filled, and the two different flavour options are both great. We preferred the fried option as the texture difference added another dimension.nnFor main, I had the lamb which was the most tender piece of lamb, cooked to perfection.nMy partner had the white fish trevally which was also delicious, well cooked, with fabulous accompaniments.nnFinally we had the vanilla panna cotta for desert which was slightly different to the menu as it came with butter roasted peach instead. This followed everything else being awesome, and although I haven’t had the menu option, should probably replace it. Perhaps during peach season at least…
Hit & miss, but overall a disappointing experience. We ordered the rabbit ravioli and scallop dumplings to start. Ravioli was delicious however the dumplings were bland and lacked depth of flavour. We had the lamb as our main dish which was fantastic, although I wish they had trimmed some of the fat. The salt & vinegar potato side dish was awful, drenched with too much vinegar and not edible. We then waited over 20 minutes to order dessert, before deciding not to wait any longer and left. Expected much better service and more consistent food for the price point.
The service at this establishment is exceptional, ensuring that every guest feels welcomed and attended to. The food is truly remarkable, showcasing a delightful blend of Asian fusion flavors that elevate the dining experience to a luxurious level. Diners can indulge in a vast and diverse menu, which offers an impressive array of dishes to satisfy any palate. Additionally, the wine selection is extensive, featuring a vast choice of labels and varieties, perfect for pairing with your meal or enjoying on its own. To top it all off, there is ample parking available, making it convenient for guests to visit without any hassle.
I came to this restaurant based on a recommendation, but unfortunately, I was quite disappointed. While the ambiance was undeniably pleasant, the food was underwhelming in both taste and portion size.nnThe salmon sashimi with egg noodles, which was recommended by the server, was particularly disappointing. The noodles were clumped together, making it easy to pick them all up at once, and the salmon didn’t taste fresh—it had a strange flavor.nnOn top of that, the napkin I was given had an unpleasant smell, which was very off-putting. Even after asking for a replacement, the new one still didn’t smell right.nnOverall, it was not the experience I was hoping for.
