It's been a while since we had dinner there when we had a holiday in Launceston last month. I have been traveled to many places and dined in many excellent restaurants, but comparing with Me Wah, those restaurants are just ordinary. Not only the dishes were exceptionally great but also the service was impeccable. The price was not ridiculous either. We had a dinner in a French restaurant the day before in Launceston which wasn't so good. If we had known Me Wah that day, we would not have dined in that one.

One of the best Chinese restaurants I have eaten in, including all those in HK and Singapore where I lived for many years. Each dish is well marinated, cooked just nice and very tasty. U can taste that it is very good quality with top ingredients and fresh produce. I was here on holiday for 3 nights and my family came back to eat here twice!

It must be said that a year ago this restaurant would have received 4 stars, however since the new manager has taken over, service and food quality has dropped. To the point of them worrying more about cost than providing proper meals as listed in the menu, then explaining away the issues instead of fixing them. After ten years of faithful patronage, we won't be back.

Most of the dishes are up to stanard. Seafood is very fresh, steam seafood would be definitely a good choice, esp steam oyster. Crab meat fried rice is less fulfilling than expected. Overall, it's still the best Chinese restaurant I have ever had in out of China region.

Excellent food, excellent service, pleasant surrounds. Not cheap but not expensive in comparison to any good restaurant. Will be our go too.
