Really great experience at our first hogs visit in Tasmania. Friendly fun atmosphere, very family orientated. Table service was great, we were seated at perhaps a smallish table and would have preferred a booth but it was fully booked for the evening. Menu had fantastic options for everyone. Kids meals were a great size and came out nice and quickly which was great and helped for timing of our main meals. The taco mex salad is hands down the best thing I've put in my mouth in ages !! I loved it. My partner and son both had steaks and were very happy with how they were cooked the size and also can't forget the curly fries for the win too. Bar and drink service was lovely and the bathroom facilities were clean and tidy. Parking was a concern but more the issue of bad outdoor lighting and parking access which felt small tight spacings.
Had a fantastic meal at Hoggs breath, Launceston. The venue is clean, tidy, spacious, and very new.nnThe food was delicious and served quickly and super high-quality.nnThe waitress and waiters were very professional attentive and acted with a sense of urgency. Overall, this is one of the best hog Café I've ever been to.
The service was excellent and the venue is really nice but unfortunately the food wasn’t that good. The meat was overcooked and chewy, the ribs had almost no taste in them. I wouldn’t recommend coming here, it’s simply too expensive for the quality of the food to be so low.
The food was disgusting no dressing on the coleslaw looked old,, chips saturated in cooking oil chicken was burnt on the outside very dry had to ask for dipping sauce. The child cheese burger was burnt and fries soggy. Only nice thing was the sticky date pudding but the sauce was very runny. A lot to pay for garbage very disappointing for a much needed night our after my son 39 years old passed away suddenly. He was a chef so Mt expectations were high.
The chicken parmigiana was quite dry. Decent portions of meals though. Staff needs to pay more attention to servicing customers. Majority of the night trying to get staff’s attention was hard when they were just talking.
