Visited the Thomatown store over the weekend and was disgusted at the way we were treated by one of the staff, I believe his name was Mario. Not only was he unbearably pushy, but after presenting his “best offer” became very agitated when we were taking time to think about it. He then became almost aggressive and said “don’t worry about it, the offers off the table” and walked off on us. We were left standing there in utter shock and embarrassment at how we were just treated. We were actually wanting to buy the package, however obviously didn’t after that disgusting behavior. It worked out for the best, as we ended up buying it for half price at Forty Winks. Thanks Mario!!

I purchased a mattress for $900 at Bevmarks for which its plush virtues were extolled. The salesman had a very clever and (friendly) approach to selling me into something to fit my budget but not necessarily to the fit the 'soft mattress' requirements I had stated when entering the store. He worked his way down from the top of the range mattresses to the 'best value and quality for money' mattress. I should have followed my intuition and taken the time to walk out of the store and investigate other stores nearby, however I didn't. The mattress which has now been delivered feels like a lumpy rock to sleep on... far from cosy and comfortable. I wish I had of spent an extra $500 to buy my favourite mattress (Slumberland - Dorset) from Snooze where a woman served me without any clever, tactical sales approach. There is something to be said for shopping with a well established brand and I have certainly learnt my lesson.
