We just wanted to leave an exceptional review! Had the best time learning and purchasing experience from Photogear last week. Lyndon looked after us and made sure to listen to our concerns and had a solution for all our technical problems. He was absolutely fantastic! If you need anything for your cameras or studio lights it’s worth getting Lyndon to help you out! Best experience I’ve had buying gear for my business.
Once again, a wonderful visit to the lovely, knowledgeable team at Photogear. They always look after me so well and give me such great advice. I never feel sold to, just advised, which means I never have buyer's remorse; I'm just left with the feeling that I have solutions that happily meet my needs. They've even gone so far as to question whether it's a need or a want, and when it comes to camera gear, that's very reassuring. So I can't rate them highly enough.
I was the camera operator for a dance video shoot at the Photogear studio last weekend and I could not have been more impressed with both the facility and, even more so, the exceptional friendliness and capability of the Photogear team. Special mention to Luke who was absolutely extraordinary - both in terms of his capability and professionalism, and his ability to problem solve and make us all feel so welcome. Wildly impressive!!! Wow, just wow. The advise and purchasing help I received from Lyndon at Photogear this week was the best customer service experience I have had in years. I was making what felt like a really big decision to me, as well as being a few years out of practice with technology changes, so I had a lot of questions that Google rabbit holes couldn't answer and AI couldn't filter and advise well, I was confused and a bit overwhlemed. I needed real photographers wisdom yet I definitely thought it would be too much to ask that of a busy retail store, but I was wrong! Lyndon's patience, knowledge, wisdom and expertise was beyond what I could've ever expected. He helped me work through the many many variables in choosing what lighting setup I wanted, he asked all the right questions for my style, budget, and goals and helped me nail it down to two options, with future proofing my kit in mind. I'm a professional who's been shooting for decades, but I'm starting anew with artificial lighting and asked so many amateur questions that could've been easily judged yet I was never made to feel embarrassed at any point unlike other photography shops that instantly exude judgey energy.nnLiterally the best experience. I hope the business is proud to have such wonderful staff representing them such as Lyndon, because it's people like this that keep retail so meaningful and more relevant than ever. Synthesizing knowledge with lived experience is what AI could never do, and Lyndon is living example of that. I will be back as a returning customer 1000% and I'm genuinely excited to return and keep upleveling because this experience was so uplifting and reinspiring.
