Bought a router here yesterday evening $1,300, expecting a smooth experience. Unfortunately, the SFP module was dead on arrival, the router cable was faulty, and even the C5 clover power cable didn’t work. The switching power supply casing was also cracked, although it still powers on. I had to use a spare C5 cable from my own equipment just to get the router online.nnI checked stock and they had replacements available at this branch, so this should have been a straightforward DOA swap. With most other vendors, a dead-on-arrival case like this would have been resolved immediately with a quick replacement.nnInstead, the triage technician Damon showed no empathy and did not focus on understanding the problem. I didn’t feel heard or taken seriously.nnBecause this is my primary internet device, I cannot simply RMA it and be offline, which makes the lack of practical support even more frustrating.nnDisappointing experience, especially for a premium purchase.nnUpdate: I returned to PB Tech Glenfield the next day. My account manager, Jeremy, escalated the issue to Shane. They met with me and arranged a brand-new, in-box unit as a temporary replacement so I could avoid downtime. I paid upfront and was fully refunded after returning the faulty power supply and cable, which has now been completed.nnAppreciate Jeremy and Shane for taking ownership and resolving this fairly. I hope this level of practical warranty support is applied consistently to all customers. Ka pai.
I had an extremely unpleasant experience at PB Tech Glenfield. I raised this with PB Tech customer support as well, but unfortunately it appears they do not take customer concerns seriously, as I have received no response even after three weeks.nnWhen attempting to purchase a product, I used a gift card. I handed the card to the cashier, who instructed me to tap it on the EFTPOS machine. After tapping, the terminal prompted for a PIN. As this was a gift card, not a Visa or debit card, I explained that there was no PIN.nnInstead of assisting, the cashier responded dismissively and said, “It’s your card, you should know the PIN. How I know your pin?” I have used gift cards many times before and know that they typically do not require a PIN. The cashier showed no interest in resolving the issue, was rude, and simply looked away.nnMy partner was present and was even more offended by the behaviour than I was. Due to the lack of basic customer service, I left the store.nnI then went to JB Hi-Fi, where the staff were polite, professional, and redeemed the same gift card without any issues in minutes.nnThis experience left me questioning why PB Tech Glenfield staff are so dismissive and unhelpful. Combined with the complete lack of follow-up from customer support, I would strongly advise others to avoid this store. I put 2 stars because they had the product and person work among shelves was cool.nnStay away this place !!!
Very disappointing experience with the technicians at PB Tech Glenfield.nnI visited twice regarding an ongoing iPhone display issue that had been present for over two weeks, including colour banding in the lower part of the screen, uneven colour tones, and intermittent full-screen green flashing/glitching.nnOn my first visit, diagnostics were carried out and I was told no fault was found, despite clearly explaining that the issue was ongoing and reproducible. I was sent home without any meaningful explanation or further investigation.nnAfter that, I contacted Apple Support from home, completed a full factory restore/reset as instructed, and provided video evidence of the issue. Apple Support chat was significantly more helpful and transparent compared to the in-store experience.nnI returned for a second visit after booking through Apple Support, as same-day service availability was indicated. On this visit, a different staff member immediately stated that the screen would need to be replaced, which directly contradicted the first diagnosis.nnWhen I requested proper diagnostics to confirm whether the issue was actually isolated to the display, this was not meaningfully addressed. The interaction felt dismissive, with very limited explanation of how conclusions were reached. I was told “it’s up to you” and, when leaving, met with a casual “bye bye” delivered in a tone that felt mocking and dismissive rather than professional. I was also told I “should have come earlier” despite booking based on the same-day service information provided through the system.nnI later submitted a formal complaint. The first response focused on procedures and attempted to frame the issue as a communication or perception misunderstanding rather than addressing the actual behaviour and inconsistency in diagnosis. Only after further follow-up did I receive a response acknowledging that the staff behaviour was inappropriate and issuing a more direct apology, which should have been addressed from the beginning rather than after escalation.nnOverall, there was a clear inconsistency in diagnostics between visits, a lack of transparency in communication, and a service experience that only shifted once the complaint was escalated. This raised serious concerns about both customer handling and diagnostic consistency.nnConsidering the time spent across two visits, travel time, waiting time, and additional troubleshooting done independently with Apple Support, this process resulted in a significant loss of time and energy.nnI will not be returning to this store.
Very informative and quick, I had to get my pc upgraded and the upgrade took around 3 days due to the black friday sale. The guy telling me about the parts was helpful on getting me the cheapest options and telling me other components I needed to have everything working. When I got my pc back it worked perfectly, not only that but my pompompurin figurine that I used to poorly stick on the inside with glu tack was glued on for me! What a nice thing to do, I really appreciate it. He looks very happy now!
Bought desktop speakers and one of the speakers had a very minor cosmetic dent. Pb Tech could've refused the return, but they were kind enough to process the return and replace it with one that didn't have the defect. I have confidence shopping here because I know they really make efforts to take care of their customers. Thank you for the kind service!
