Just finished eating here and had THE BEST meal one could ask for after 7 hours of driving down to Wellington!! An Incredible atmosphere and service, PLUS they have a superb area to dine with your dog- Thankyou for having us and Sandy!! Ps: our bill was under $100 for two massive mains and two cocktails
We had a party of 7, the guest of honour being our friend turning 92. The choices were fine, the meals nice, the service was relaxed, the music background rather than intrusive, we were happy customers. Occasionally had to work to catch a waiter to get more drinks, menus etc, the place wasn't full. Overall enjoyable. EXCEPT FOR THIS! SEE PHOTO. Cannot believe it, I think it was the manager, looked the most senior person there, HOW DARE HE insert himself stupidly into our occasion, it was totally inappropriate. Ruined 5 of 6 photos. If I'd discovered this while there, rather than 3 hours later, he would have got an earful from all of us, not just me.
Love the atmosphere and music. Food was good; Affogato with Amaretto was delicious!
Had a fabulous afternoon in the the courtyard which was the perfect area for our family celebration. The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The birthday cake made by Paul was awesome, looked amazing and tasted delicious.
I’ve been here probably four or five times now, mostly for breakfast which had been fast and reasonably good for basic breakfast cafe food.nnI came recently for dinner service before a movie, atmosphere was relaxed and classy. My server: a dude with a sweet moustache provided attentive and competent service without being overly present. The food was great and wine amazing. The food came out efficiently and overall was a great experience.
