Probably the worst experience I’ve had here. I often come to this restaurant for birthdays, brunch or just for an easy dinner. However, the steak I ordered was just covered in soot and tasted overwhelmingly burnt.nnWhen inquired and complained to the waiter but he explained that because it was char grilled it was to be expected. Seriously is it supposed to completely inedible?nnI’m not too sure if the lack of care or worry I was given was because I was apart of large group booking or because there was some miscommunication about the set menus. Or maybe because our they thought our group didn’t understand what ‘char grilled’ is.nnPlease believe me that I truly liked the food here before this experience. Wouldn’t recommend the steak, anything off the set menu or the dessert better off just buying super market pre-made dessert want similar food, take a trek to Brooklyn for 1852.nnAfter complaining to the manager, felt like I was talking to a brick wall. Same spiel about how it’s expected because it cooked in a char grill. Would not take my criticism seriously was it because I am a young woman? Maybe because he couldn’t believe someone like me would know what char grilled meat isnnEventually we settled for me to pay half price $24.5, still wasn’t worth it as this whole experience was disappointing and distasteful
The last time I came here, the food was delicious and the staff were really nice. I left something behind and one of the lovely ladies who worked there gave it back to me when I came back looking for it. The portion sizes are big and the vibe of the restaurant is exciting.
This is a good place for Sunday lunch. There is a huge amount of seating and half a dozen tables in the covered outside area. There are some huge screens for sports fans so it looks like a good place to watch a game. The food was really good pub food and the service was fast and efficient.
Popped in here for an impromptu lunch while in Johnsonville.nGreeted by friendly staff as soon as we walked into the bar.nHad our dog with us, nice to have a dog-friendly bar.nMenu had plenty of options, I went with the Spicy Buffalo wings & Blue cheese sauce. Hot as this was. Made my mouth burn but I loved it.nMy partner had the Bubble & Squeak. There was plenty of kai on her plate & she said it was tasty as.nStaff were attentive and there was a good buzz around the bar for a Sunday.nPlenty of TVs to watch sport on as well.nWill be back again.
We visited this café today and ordered ribs, chicken breast, and the Frank Shank Pie. The food was very tasty, with an unusual presentation of the pie. The staff were polite and attentive. It’s clean and cozy. A nice place to relax after work and have a beer. I’d also like to highlight that they have a kids’ menu, and each child was given a wonderful set with coloring pages and stickers – that’s really cool, an excellent idea to keep children entertained. Thank you so much!
