Park Hotel Lambton Quay

So impressed with this place! The receptionist was lovely and clearly explained everything to me. My room is huge! So spacious, clean and has everything I need. The free laundry and free gym options also make this hotel extremely competitive. Wish I could stay here even longer but it’s fully booked out!

Very dissatisfied. Check in is at 3pm , when we got there had to deal with front desk who was very snappy as she could not see the payment was successfully made. When we got to the room it was DISGUSTING. Stains on the chairs , dirt under the bed, the bathroom floor was filthy when we dried it up with the bath mat, previous people’s empty shampoo bottles left behind and no fresh towels. Had to go to front desk a couple of times asking for towels as there are no telephones. The next morning had room service , however bed wasn’t made, no counters cleaned, just one towel and a hand towel. The first night there was no hot water to shower with. When we informed the front desk of the poor room service and disgusting environment she would just shrug it off. Location is perfect however as it is in the city central. However Horrible. Wouldn’t recommend. Rooms: Filthy rooms. Dirt under the bed, stains on the stools , bathroom floor so dirty it made the white shower mat look like black marble. Comfy beds and cushions but cigarette holes in bedding. Walkability: Everything is pretty nearby. Noteworthy details: Room service is terrible. Not even worth asking room to be cleaned. Better off cleaning yourself.

Easy to find, comfortable, quiet, central, great facilities, a comfy bed, clean and a great coffee shop at the front door. I will happily stay here again.Rooms: 5/5

My room wasn't big but it had everything I needed, and it was in good condition, except my fridge didn't seal. A nice quiet and perfect location for me as it wasn't too far from the office and it's a nice walk to Courtney Place or Cuba Street if you're looking for a bit of varity for dinnerRooms: 3/5

The service from the gentleman on the front desk was exceptional. He went above and beyond for us. The rooms are what you would expect for the price. The location is great and bus stop right outside. Walkability: Close to everything

Well where to begin.. staff at the counter were nice. Went to our room and found ac didn't work bedside lights didn't work. Reported to staff first thing in morning as it was late and nobody at the desk by the time we realised, staff moved us to another room.. the room was clean well presented and everything worked. We were happy. The down side of this place was that we requested a refund on another room we had accidentally booked and contacted them straight away when we realised. They said they need us on-site as they needed the card to give us a refund. When we arrived the lady didn't know how to do a refund which was fine, as she said come back in the morning and we will get it sorted. Came back in the morning and another lady was there and said it will be in your account on Monday. Waited till Tuesday and nothing so we phoned them as we had now left. They said they couldn't find the booking and requested the confirmation email. Sent it through. A week later we contacted them as we hadn't seen the money or heard back. They said they were struggling with completing the refund. Now it's been over a month and still nothing... this is very upsetting as they started off so well.. not impressed

Was slightly underwhelmed when I arrived, I understood there to be a restaurant/bar and there wasn't any, but you have everything on your doorstep on the terrace. Rooms were basic, all you need tho to come and go during the day. My room looked a little tired and needed a refresh but was clean, very comfortable bed and air con!Rooms: 3/5

Stayed in a 2-brm suite with a kitchenette - very good value. Decor is modern and fresh. Quiet. Easy access to both The Terrace and Lambton Quay.Rooms: 5/5

Was planning on a great night at a concert tomorrow night but now no longer have any accommodation. Cancellation with just over 24 hours notice for “maintenance” seems like poor planning. I am going to be left several hundred dollars out of pocket trying to find last minute accommodation - I hope I will receive some form of reimbursement for both the financial cost and the unneeded stress… for some reason I doubt that will be the case here. It’s not like I’ve been booked in for more than 6 months or anything… I am required to give a minimum of 1 star even though they don’t deserve it. I will ensure that everybody I know will hear of my experience and I will not be providing a recommendation.
