Boulcott Suites

We arrived after mid-night, but our keys were not in the box. However, after call to the duty-manager everything was resolved reasonably quickly. Great Location. Modern and stylish studio apartment. Well equipped with kitchenette, washer/dryer and even dishwasher. Once small issue is absence of any hooks for towels in the bathroom. Extra space for luggage will be useful as well. In any case, recommend to everyone and we'll definitely stay at Boulcott next time

Excellent staff, was able to check in early and also book an extra night at short notice when our flights were cancelled. The location was good and very close to the new world which was great having a full kitchen. Really warm and good toiletries. The only negative comment would be the person above us was very noisy and I thought the bedding duvets could have been cleaner.

Quiet, clean and well kept. Had a nice view of the church. Efficient check in. They had everything all ready to go on arrival. Good size room and tv selection.

When I rang to make the booking I informed the lady on the phone that my husband has a mobility problem. At reception, on arrival, we find that our accommodation is in a separate building to that of reception/parking and that there is no internal access between the two buildings. NOT IMPRESSED. However they were very accommodating when we had to stay an extra night at short notice.

"Stay away from the Boulcott Suites! We were extremely disappointed with our stay at this supposed 5-star accommodation. Despite being frequent visitors to Wellington, we were surprised by the low standard of this place. The room was hot and stinky with a strong odor of rancid milk we bought are own cleaning products to try and eradicate the smell, the furnishings were broken and tatty, and the bathroom felt dirty. The beds were uncomfortable and the balcony was littered with rubbish. To add insult to injury, there was no air conditioning to provide any relief from the heat. Overall, I would rate this place as a basic 3-star at best and a complete rip-off for the price. The only positive was the good location, but it is not worth putting up with the other issues. Save your money and find another place to stay. We were very disappointed by our experience and expected better from a supposed 5-star establishment in Wellington."

Our room was warm and clean. However the dishwasher was broken, Netflix didn’t work and we could only use one of the showers due to the drain being blocked with other peoples hair. Also there was a hole in the dining table and the general decor was tired and well due for a refresh. Having said all that, we had what we needed and the location was terrific, the staff were kind and friendly. These are tough times we do understand for the hospitality industry and we wish the business well. Definitely not a five star establishment but a three would be fair.

I decided to book Boulcott suites for one night while on a very hectic business trip. The nightly charge was $337 well above other hotels but I wanted the kitchen and laundry facilities so I could have breakfast and wash my clothes after a few days away. My room did not have a dryer- despite this being advertised. Which meant I was unable to do any washing. The tv was tiny- 32 inch? And not located in the bedroom. It had poor signal and was impossible to watch anything so I resorted to tv on demand on my cellphone instead. The bathroom and toilet was poorly located- close to the entry to the room but a long way from the bedroom- very inconvenient. My bedroom wardrobe was missing the door and room was quite cold. I stay in a lot of hotels.. and this is definitely not a 5 star facility. There is no gym - instead a subsidised entry to a third party gym $10 every casual entry. The only positive was following a negative. The location is not great if you have a vehicle and parking is limited. The staff were good at seeing my distress and arranged for a car park even though I had not booked ahead.. I wasn’t aware of needing to. The room was also quiet which I appreciated. I wouldn’t stay again- instead would book an actual hotel with on-site facilities like parking, gym and restaurant. Not good value for money at all unfortunately.

Love this hotel due to great location and lovely little touches like charity teas and coffee pod machine. Staff were friendly and helpful, only four stars given was our room was cold.No heatpump just two oil heaters one for lounge one for master bedroom but nothing in the second bedroom. I'll be back just not in mid winter.Rooms: 4/5

We paid a fair amount of money for a four bedroom suite. We were under the impression it was serviced however this wasn’t the case. The ‘fully equipped kitchen’ didn’t have a toaster or a can opener, a dishbrush or a cloth to wipe benches and had terrible cookware and an oven we couldn’t use as it was too dirty and immediately started smoking out the suite when it was turned on. The shower upstairs leaked. They forgot to put in the portacot requested. Also no heating, one bar heater for three stories. Dated and pretty average for around $900 per night.

Great place to stay inner city. Everything in walking distance. Everything we required in the rooms were great.Rooms: 5/5
