Had a great stay at QT Wellington. As per their style, the room was funky and the amenities were excellent. Loved: Dyson hair dryer, coffee pods, mirrors everywhere and soft fluffy black hooded robe not one of those towel white robes. Room was clean and I also enjoyed the fact that the gym was open til 11:30pm. They also have a pool which I didn't have time to use.
Beautiful hotel and setting! High end fittings and furniture giving the whole place a deluxe feel. Absolutely loved the large balcony overlooking the harbour and Te Papa museum. Was in the perfect location to check out everything the city had to offer.Rooms: 5/5
Quirky hotel with lots of art. Even though it’s quite a large hotel, you get a boutique vibe. Bed is ridiculously comfortable. Location is perfect - right next to the water for fresh walks along the boardwalk and in the streets behind is where all the shopping, bars, breweries and restaurants are. I loved having the gym, pool and sauna for a quick refresh on a holiday.
The QT Wellington is a fantastic hotel, and in an excellent location. The Harbourview room was spacious and well appointed with a massive balcony, and nice views towards the harbour. Getting the Bed and Breakfast rate is a must, as the breakfast is excellent and great value for the additional price above the room only rate. The hotel has a lot of character over a normal hotel, with art throughout, and great service too. Highly recommended when staying in Wellington
We booked 2 Harbour View room only one was ready when we checked in, the other room was a 90 minute wait. The bathroom is very dark, limited hangers, had to request additional hand towel as only one set out. Only 2 cartons of milk and limited accessible plug sockets. Given a choice I wouldnt return or recommend this hotel.Rooms: 2/5
From check in to check out, my hotel experience was incredible. Greeted by lovely staff upon arrival, the room was gorgeous and every little detail was perfect. Loved the coffee machine in the room, and the Dyson hair dryer! Highly recommend QT, possibly the nicest hotel in Wellington : Ps. Special mention to Rhiannon the duty manager who went above and beyond to make sure my stay was as smooth as possible.
Make sure you pack the ear plugs - if staying in the apartment wing - because sound proofing is underweight. We were staying for a long holiday weekend, so three nights of partying, lucky us. Unfortunately, average Venetian blinds also meant the bedrooms were quite bright in the morning.Rooms: 2/5
Pretty disappointing. AC was missing the controller so I contacted reception to bring one. 4 staff later telling me they will sort it, Telling me the Controller should be there or coming and seeing it missing but not knowing what to do next I gave up. 3 hours later still no resolution. The room was super hot because there were no windows. other maintenance issues - Bathroom fan broken, in room phone not working and the coffee maker didn't work. I know staffing is hard at the moment but not sure paying $300 a night and not being able to sleep is a great solution. On a Plus. The art is great.
When you book a 2 bedroom suite expensive might I add and expect to have the awesome QT fit out. But are surprised with the older apartments. Really think it’s time to take down the small random art pieces and add an awesome wall feature! I’ve stayed in a Single room in the past which is why I came back.. a little let down when I arrived to the older apartment : also waited over 45 minutes for breakfast for my coffee and side of hash browns to be forgotten after I asked several times .. apart from that great service from the reception team :
Concierge was awesome & welcoming but the girl on reception rushed us through all the hotel details. Highly disappointed. The in room dining service app didn't work either and we waited an hour until we found out our order hadn't gone through! Fire alarm Sunday morning and we didn't see any head counts being done nor were we told by hotel staff when we could return to our rooms. It was the fire department staff who told us. Also no warning over PA system of not to use lifts on exiting
