Copthorne Hotel Wellington Oriental Bay

Very nice room. Lovely views of the harbour. The weather is absolutely beautiful. We were suppose to have rain but it has turned out beautiful. Buffet breakfast is delicious. Compliments to the chef. Looked like he was cooking up a storm trying to keep the dishes full. Our room was very clean and spacious. Awesome walk around the waterfront as shown in photo.

Room was perfect size for our weekend getaway, both beds were insanely comfortable! Paid an extra $25 for parking and that secured our spot for the weekend so we could come and go which was good. Great location and not as noisy as I thought it would be! We asked for a later checkout and the lovely reception ladies gave us a complimentary 11am check out. Breakfast was a delicious feast, will be coming back for sure!

Nice view, pretty average rooms. Need to upgrade the facilities within the rooms to be up with the times. TV only have a few direct channels, ability to put analog cables in was taken away as you can’t move tv. Paint peeling on roof, dated furniture.

An excellent hotel in a great location on Wellington's Waterfront. What stands out with Copthorne Hotel Wellington is that all rooms enjoy a view of Wellington Harbour. Rooms are very clean, well appointed along with a super comfy bed. The buffet breakfast, with a wide range of options, was sumptuous, with room service just as good. The Copthorne team were very engaging and worked tirelessly to make every interaction positive, making it a really enjoyable experience.

Soooo happy with our stay! Based off the reviews I'd read before the trip, I really wasn't expecting much but everything was amazing. All the staff we came across were lovely & accomodating and the view from our room was beautiful. My 6 year old just wanted to stare at the waves from the room all night. Buffet breakfast was really nice and had a good selection. Our room was big and beds were super comfortable. Toiletries, coffee, milk etc were topped up daily. The hotel is pretty close to everything & is directly across the road from the waterfront where we saw sharks right at our feet! We all loved it and will definitely be back.

Handy location, comfortable beds, nice view from some rooms, reasonable price for Wellington. Hotel overall was a little rundown and quite unclean throughout. Breakfast was very average, consider eating out.Rooms: 3/5

Location great for being really close to Te Papa. The hotel is in some serious need of tlc. Rooms are tired, parking is tight. The part of the hotel we stayed in looked like it escaped from the 70s. The breakfast buffet was fantastic- fresh, good range of food. Tables were hard to get up from.Rooms: 3/5

Room was very dated, hallway is super narrow, bathroom smelled like mildew. I didn't even want to shower in it because I was grossed out by the smell. In our room on 10th floor, we would could hear the elevator squeaking/cranking. Buffet breakfast was as expected. Bed and comforter were quite comfortable. We enjoyed our view and proximity to Te Papa museum. Room had a very narrow balcony, fridge, table. Plenty of space for 2 large backpacks and 3 carry on sized bags.

Great hotel. Brilliant location. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms well cleaned and presentable. Bed was soooo comfy. Brilliant views from Harbor Rooms. Shout out to housekeeping, Front desk- Jessica & Tyrese from restaurant sorry if spelt wrong and the young lady at the bar on Thursday & Friday night- with the nose piercings. Keep up the good work.
