Lone Star Rolleston

Came in for dinner on a whim and got ribs as a starter. WOW they were delicious and only took a few minutes to arrive. Got 2 Ocean burgers and chips and they were absolutely delicious but those ribs slap hard. Definitely geting them as a main next time. Thumbs up to the Chefs nnThe staff are all very friendly and despite it being busy it was very well run and managed hats off to the manager and staff. I will be back for my birthday shout out to the girl who served us I think her name was Sophie you made my grandfather's evening with your great service

The only possible thing of alarm was the price. $155 for 2 adults, entrees and main and 1 drink each. Wasn't expecting that. We were offered a doggy bag for our left overs which was nice. Had pork belly which was huge and salmon main which melted in your mouth. Lovely people, staff, owners.

By far the worst steaks we have ever seen.nnBland and flavourless steak like they boiled any hint of flavour out of it and then then grilled it on a heat that’s clearly to low.nnThe steak was unseasoned along with the potatoes. They added an additional $2 charge for aioli sauce without informing us.nnThe fish and chips also lacked any flavour and the chips were all somehow soggy.nnThe restaurant has tightly packed tables in such a small premises that it’s borderline claustrophobic.nnNot to mention they couldn’t even fit a bathroom in the place you have to go outside for that.nnI would not recommend dining here, avoid at all costs.

Typical lone star , good food friendly staff. It's a bit noisy, but that can't be helped .nI went back last night , same great food etc . But noticed the lack of staff , the waitress did an amazing job of trying to keep up with everything bit they were so understaffed it was impossible. We got our meals and drinks but had noticeable delays . This really falls on management not having enough staff on the floor . They were run off their feet but kept their composure. I would suggest lone star start taking better care of staff before they loose them . well done to the staff on Wednesday night you guys were awesome. I hope management now comes and talks to you and sorts this issue . Its not a good look
