Visiting from U.S and found Hotel was easy to get to from the Airport. Our room was modern, clean and easily accessible by stairs and lift. Restaurants for lunches and breakfasts especially Centro were an easy walk away. I wanted to be near the beach and it was a 5 minute walk! Staff was pleasant and helpful. Thanks for a great stay.
I stayed here for two weeks as part of the England Hockey Masters Team. Nothing was too much trouble, the staff were warm, welcoming and friendly. I had a room at the back which had sea views. It was comfortable, clean and the balcony was a good addition. A stones throw from the beautiful Takapuna Beach and a 10 minute walk into the centre, 5 mins to the supermarket. It really had everything. The laundry room was well used with all our playing kit. Big shout out to Krystal and Ajin who went above and beyond. Definitely recommend, would love to return one day.
My partner and I stayed a week in Carnmore hotel and it was by far the best experience we’ve had when travelling!nThe staff were so sweet and accommodating, even allowing us to check in a few hours earlier considering our flight landed at 5am…nWe will definitely be returning to New Zealand and most definitely be rebooking with Carnmore when we do
The hotel is right next to the road with no buffer, and unfortunately we had a room on the ground floor that looked right out onto the road. This meant that people from the road could see right into our room and bathroom unless we drew the blinds. So not ideal.nThe room was small, but that's fair enough as relatively speaking, it was one of the cheapest accommodations that we booked to stay in.nIt was also incredibly busy. This was probably also explained by the price. The effect of this was a constant stream of people going past our door in the hotel, either on their way to their rooms or on the way out, and the noise really did travel.nThe staff seemed nice enough.nThe gym was not bad, and for the size of the room where it was located it came as a bit of a pleasant surprise.nWhat wasn't quite as much fun was having to go to the receptionist to ask for a key to access the gym, and then having to return the key after using the gym.nPart of the attraction of using a hotel gym is the freedom to go in and use it when you wish to do so.nSo if you're an early riser hoping to work out before heading out or someone who likes to do so late at night, that option is available to you.nBut this takes away that option and spontaneous ability to do so, by having your gym time tied to the availability of the receptionist.nI'm not sure why the receptionist has been burdened with this extra task, when the easiest thing would be to tie gym use and access into the hotel guests key card.
Unfortunately we only required a room for night for Urzila Carson's show was in Takapuna. However, rooms were clean, large and met our needs...
