Overall experience very well is a Hilton hotel should be. Don't fall for the valet parking though. A valid parking is right in front of the doors. They have parking is as well. Right in front. It's a beautiful location. It's beautiful views. If you're looking for a prime spot, this is definitely the. The only reason I gave it four is because a little frustration with the front desk when checking in. The rooms are clean. The beds are always extremely comfortable. The service is exceptional. Outside of the experience at the desk by checking in. When you spend $200 to $300 close to $400 they could throw in free breakfast. We went swimming in the morning. We didn't get up there at night but it's a beautiful view of the city
Great location. Nice rooms. Great for cruise.nThe harbor view will be blocked by ship 20 feet from your room. It’s noisy all day even with door closed. The Princess ship was there till 7.30 pm. Celebrity ship arrived at 5.30 am. There was NO acknowledgement or appreciation for Diamond level. No benefits were discussed until I asked. Early check in was poorly handled. Indian girl had a chip on her shoulder at reception showed no respect Deeply disappointed! Definitely stay elsewhere for same price .. better options Pic is of harbor side view room. Daytime you will see elderly folks with with skimpy clothing.. not a pretty sight. This hotel is not cheap!
Great 2 night stay at the Hilton. Hotel is built to model a cruise ship on the outside and has a lovely lobby, bar area and breakfast area. We were upgraded to a sea view room with a large balcony as a diamond member and sat and watched the boats come in and out of the harbor as could see the downtown Auckland area. The room and bathroom had a good amount of space and were clean. No issues encountered. The location is excellent with easy access to the harbor areas with tons of restaurants and shops. Service at the hotel was also top notch from front desk to bar to concierge. Highly recommend.
Our stay at the Hilton Auckland was nothing short of spectacular! We booked 2 deluxe suites with conjoining rooms, and it was the perfect setup for our family of five 3 adults and 2 children. The rooms were spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable, providing more than enough room for everyone to relax and enjoy.nnThe highlight, of course, was the harbor-facing view on the top floor—absolutely stunning! Waking up to the sight of the Auckland Harbor and city skyline was an unforgettable experience. It added a special touch of tranquility and luxury to our stay. We stayed during New Years 2025 and enjoyed the fireworks from Skytower from the balcony!nnThe service was impeccable, with friendly and attentive staff who went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The hotel’s location is also unbeatable, placing us close to Auckland’s best attractions and waterfront dining.nnWhether you’re traveling as a couple, a family, or a group, the Hilton Auckland delivers a perfect blend of comfort, elegance, and breathtaking views. We can’t wait to return!
My wife and I spent the night at the Hilton on Wednesday, February 19, after getting off the Celebrity Edge Cruise ship. When I filled the bathtub, it got really steamy, and despite trying all the switches, none of them worked the extractor fan. I asked the attendant for help, but they were unsure as well.nnThe fridge was stocked with alcohol, but we only had three coffee sachets, three sugar packets, and four 20ml milk containers. So I walked to a nearby store to grab some coffee and a bottle of milk.nnWe also had to fill the water jug from the bathroom, and the room lacked cutlery except for a 2 teaspoons which my wife used to peel her nectaurine, plus there was no microwave. They have an office desk and chair setup but the chair is wonky when you sit on it.nnWe thought the bed should be placed where the desk is so it gives ample room for a living space and perhaps the bathroom should be reduced as well to make a proper kitchenette with microwave, sink and pantry with cutlery.nnAlthough the bed was comfortable, the sheets at the foot end felt damp, and the floor was also, they either wet vacuumed before we came or the condensation from the bathroom has seeped in. We ended up just sleeping on the mattress after removing the sheets. We were too tired to complain.nnWe definitely won’t be returning there. I wrote a post on my social media and someone replied The Hillbilly Hotel - so aptly in this instance.nnI did convey my concerns with reception upon leaving but was told that I should've asked for more milk - why not give a 200ml bottle and plenty of coffee instead of a fridge full of grog - just my take on it anyway.
