AA Centre - Riccarton

I was extremely impressed with the service I received yesterday. The young lady assisting me was not only very helpful but also remarkably efficient. She made the process of renewing my license quick and hassle-free. Her professionalism and friendly demeanour deserve recognition – and perhaps even a pay rise! Outstanding service like this makes all the difference.

This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life, waiting in the queue for 1 1/2 hours to renew a license and it’s like a game of snakes and ladders as they have the main queue but feed other people in from the sides so even when I’m in the front position mystery customers appear at the counter in front of you. AA you need to hire some staff or get out of the licence business as you are hopeless at it.nAs for the counter staff working understaffed they are courteous and do a good job.

Today I had the fastest service I’ve ever received with AA with Ivy and the team. Super efficient sorting my international licence, went around 1:45/2:00pm, line wasn’t too bad and was moving along with more staff working. Easy process thanks team.

A very disappointing experience at AA Riccarton.nnWe were referred to AA Riccarton by our local AA branch because they can't help with overseas licenses.nnWe went there for the first time and we're waiting in the queue when a lady approached us and looked at my husband's documents, asked us to go away, get some more documents and make an appointment online.nnWe booked an appointment online and showed up for the appointment. The lady at the counter advised my husband, due to some discrepancy in his middle name, he would need to call NZTA and get an authorisation letter. She also said he could do it while we were at AA and go back to her straight after.nnMy husband called the NZTA, provided all the information and they said he will need another document and he will need to apply for it online.nnWe came back home, my husband couldn't find the link so he called NZTA again and he was advised he had all the right documents especially the letter from VIC Road in Australia which my husband had on him both the times we went to AA Riccarton but they were completely overlooked.nnWe didn't mind waiting at all but we travelled quite a bit twice and both the times we were asked to go away and get the information which we already had.nnIt was a complete waste of time and a very disappointing experience.

Incredibly inefficient and not enough staff. Unless you want to wait in line for an hour because they only have one person on reception, I would avoid this AA. If complex applications can take 30-40 minutes to process then AA need to reevaluate their processes as that is ridiculous.
