Mad Butcher Riccarton

Lots of selection of meat, chicken,beef and pork. I finally find some place where selling pork bone, was looking for a very long time, I wanna using it for soup. Some of the rare part of meat they also selling. And the price is reasonable. Will definitely come back again!

Bought some Marinated pork ribs from here on the 27 October which went straight into the fridge and cooked them the next day for over an hour.nThey smelt a bit funny when cooking, but I just thought pork can, if it's a boar. The next day me and my partner were really sick with stomach aches & diarrhoea, which I presume is food poisoning from the pork ribs, as it was the only food consumed by myself and my partner. I'm considering making a formal complaint to the Ministry for Primary Industries.

I bought some Lamb shoulder chops from here and they were tough as old boots and fatty. I don't believe they were Lamb, but instead a much older sheep. Which is not what I wanted to buy.

All staff are super friendly, especially the young fella behind the till on Mondays. Guy's a legend. Customer service here is unmatched. love the deals too. Chur.

Absolutely great store with a decent selection with budget meat. It's the staff whom make this store a cut above the other butchers in their price range and stand above and beyond.nnI lost my license when paying at checkout and the staff member on checkout, after realizing I'd lost it, helped me look without thinking about it, eventually recruiting the boys out back to help look. Although we were unsuccessful in the search, it truly shows how much the staff at the Mad Butcher Ric go above and beyond for their customers. Thank you all.
