Awanui Labs (previously Canterbury SCL) - Riccarton

No one answers the phone no matter how early you call and the website says the test I need I must call to book? Turned up just after open to an unmanned desk waited over 25 mins and left because I have work I came in physically to try and book a time, have asked to be referred somewhere else.

I booked online for a blood test through the website I was lucky that this lab had an appointment the next day as most places were a week out. Fast and easy process on the day. Staff friendly and professional.

Yesterday I went to Awanui Labs to have a blood test. I was a bit worried because my veins are difficult to find but Seema found it in one go! She did a really good job. Thanks Seema! From Byong

The reception was really good. Donna and Seema were really professional but Donna kept blowing air from her mouth to my face which was very irritating. Maybe others enjoy when she does that but I didn't. And I was told not to move, so I couldn't signal for her to stop. I had to manage the pain in being pricked and the irritation from that air she was blowing. I hope they'll ask before doing that to a patient next time, if that's what is done in Awanui lab. Besides that irritating air blowing from her mouth, their service was excellent.

Went in expecting it to be in and out people crowding up on walls everywhere. Then when it got to get my bloods done they couldnt find any or so i thought turns out there was one but already pulled out the needle then tried her best to force me to get it done in my hand physically pushing my hand down and wouldnt take no for a answer.
