Riccarton Clinic and After Hours Medical Centre

Thank you for taking care of our sick toddler today. The service was fast with minimal wait times. Reception was friendly and welcoming, and the nurse and doctor were patient and helpful. Having extra touches like the bottle warmer in the family room helps parents out a tonne too. Wouldn't hesitate to return again in the future.

I saw Dr Matthew yesterday to have my baby daughter checked out. He was so lovely and helpful! Took all measures to make sure my daughter was OK. Don't get me started with the nurses...! My daughter was crying for 2 hours.. they went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. They even catered to my 3 year old son who was with me too. I'm so so grateful. Sorry I forgot your names, i was very overwhelmed with with my crying girl. You have beautiful people skills, kind nature and very caring! We are very lucky to have you nurses! Great clinic! Highly recommend, fantastic with kids! Thank you again

I called ahead of arriving to Riccarton Clinic as my toddler was having difficulty breathing Croup + Stridor so we were very anxious as you'd expect - the initial person who answered the call did little to put our mind at ease - whereas the folks we interacted with during our visit we were seen within 15mins and thoroughly looked after were exceptional in their care of my 2 year old son. What was a very stressful scenario was made so much better by the care and thoughtfulness of Doctors and Nurses.

I am just giving 3 stars as overall.nI am grateful that after 4 hours, I was seen by the nurse specialist, almost the last one to leave the clinic. I was not advised of what was wrong with me as they could not see any but given a prescription as it was obvious that something is wrong due to redness, it was blood. The Nurse Specialist was so lovely though. However, I had the most poor customer service, as if I did not pay $120. The old lady at the reception was so rude. I am not aware that a nurse specialist is equivalent as a doctor here in NZ, I felt like the dumbest of all when I told her I was seen by the nurse specialist and I apologise that I am not aware. She rolled her eyes and started murmuring. I hope she serves other patients better. Just a smile will at least help us, sick people to feel better in a way, but will encounter this kind of attitude instead.

Staff very friendly, wait was 2hrs, which was less than the posted 3.5hrs. But $115 to not even get to see a Dr? Was seen by 'Nurse Practitioner', what ever that means. Still dont know whats wrong with me. Also went to requested chemist to collect script over 3hrs after being seen and they hadn't received it.
