This is a budget friendly option. However, the rooms were quite dusty and we felt as though the beds made us a bit itchy. Better investment in cleaning would improve the quality. Staff were friendly and the location is good.
Wow. I have been coming to this establishment since I was 6 years old. It used to be 'the Hobart Macquarie motel'. I also visited again in 2010 - my daughter was 2.5 & we just returned for 6 nights, my daughter now 17. I was blown away. We had a beautiful room! 504 was immaculate! Clean, fresh, no dust, dander, dirt - phenomenal! pillows to die for..!nTravelodge you have done the old motel proud.nnThe only cons feedback really! I have were the pump bottles in the shower & near hand basin. They were so hard to pump especially those with arthritis - like me! and we would have loved to be able to screen mirror or log into our own streaming services on the TV. Local channels are so 1990 hahanThe buffet breakfast was very lackluster.. that is all : nnSo, thanks Jess & the team for the chats & nostalgia, I will always visit when I am down in Hobart. You guys are the heart of the place :
We had some issues in the beginning. The original room had a really bad smell. After going down to the reception, they investigated and gave us another room that was fine.nnPerfectly fine rooms for the price. They are on the small side, but for the location and price the accommodation is worthwhile.
Walkable distance to Salamanca markets.nnHad a double bed + single bed room which was very tiny. The shower door had to be picked up and opened. There was a rain shower which worked like a water dripping from a tap.nnAnd to top it all there is no WiFi. When asked the reception they are like it's working but I had 3 mobiles and nothing worked.
5 – Pink, Maksim & Shirish Made It Feel Like Home!nnMassive shoutout to the team at Travelodge Hobart - especially Pink and Maksim, who absolutely nailed the customer service during our stay while Shirish handled management perfectly.nnFrom the moment we checked in, both of them went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, looked after, and genuinely cared for. Whether it was local tips, helping with our room, or just having a warm, friendly vibe - nothing was too much trouble. You could tell they take real pride in what they do.nnThis isn’t our first time here, and it won’t be our last. With legends like Pink and Maksim on the front line, Travelodge Hobart has set the bar for what great service looks like.nnHighly recommend for anyone who wants more than just a hotel — this place feels like home.nnP.S. Pink - thank you for the extra customer service when I was struggling with the front desk process :
